No bother at all, yes you are correct but you slap on the down strum. So you are doing both on the same 1 beat. Hope this helps and thanx for watching

Thanks for the nice demonstration. One thing - the chords are easy enough but the strumming's what makes this song. Are you deadening the strings with your palm on the down stroke to make that sound?

Jerry Fleming Funny thing,over 13,000 views on this vid and you are the only one who thinks I'm out of tune. Are you sure your "in tune" and my "in tune" are the same thing? I tune to 440 and Often times beginners tune thier guitars certain ways from the norm, thinking they are in tune when they are not, and proper 440 sounds off to them. I wonder if that's your issue?? I'm not a beginner. Maybe it's the recording, or maybe the beginners listening do not have the ear I do. But something is definitely off. Sounds like the b string. Btw even if you are using a tuner, if your intonation is off, that can cause an issue as well. One chord may sound right but another will sound sharp or flat. I just listened again to your vid with headphones and I still believe I'm right. But as long as you are happy and all of your viewers don't seem to notice, then what does my opinion matter.
