Such a great intro, he sets the pace for bosses in the game, and even calls you a chicken. That's what he meant by Fowl Tarnished, right?

Some suspicious part of me believes that you got those monk levels entirely to get slow fall and recreate that intro cutscene and everything else was a happy coincidence

Morgott deserved better than what we gave him. Honestly wish we could convince him to work with us to repair the Elden Ring.
@nicolasvillasecaali76622 жыл бұрын
Sadly i think he is too lost in it's devotion, not even the hatred and tragedy his own mother and the golden order put on him and his brother made him doubt.
@mrlucy71972 жыл бұрын
I love Morgott. I actually always imagined him as a Bladesinger that flavors his spells as divine miracles, waving around a shadowblade and sword burst, since he uses golden flavored Carian Sorcery in the game. He uses a gold Carian Slicer, and gold Glintblade Phalanx, and a gold Haima's Gavel against you. That being said, making him a reflavored bladesinger is boring compared to what you made. So great job!

I actually really, REALLY like this because it also implies that the Erdtree incantations won’t even let him use them. He’s been outcast in every possible way.

"Okay so it's getting dicy with this Tarnished. I'll use my Arms of the Astral Self ability to get some extra oomph." "Cool, how does that look when it does the initial splash of damage?" "Oh yeah. Can I leap 30 feet in the air, hang for a weirdly long amount of time, then summon a massive spectral hammer to smash into the ground?" "... I love this game"

FromSoft occupy this weird place in fiction that's decidedly not anime, yet somehow is anime af all the same dammit.

It has never occurred to me that "Arms of the Astral Self" could be short for "Armaments" like FFXV. Sometimes you surprise me with great mechanics (see Jason) but sometimes you really catch me out with genius flavour.

I just had the following train if thought: you’re making bosses from elden ring in dnd, what if you made the tarnished? Of course with all the build variety, you’d have to say “how to make a sorcery tarnished in dnd” or something like that… maybe you could do guides to making the characters you build in elden ring in dnd! There could be a thor build, and a link build, and… wait.

I wonder how many people were just alerted to the “r” after Barb in your name by this video. I believe it was the stitch video where I was granted insight and eyes on the inside.
@AwesomeWookiee2 жыл бұрын
Which is thematically appropriate, stitch is clearly a maddening monstrosity created through dark rituals and experimentation.

My dream is to play Melina in my next campaign, cuz I love her look and mission. "hey, I was born at the foot of that tree. Let's burn it!" Melina build when?
@gorthaur38002 жыл бұрын
Great build, actually pretty clever to use Astral monk's arms for weapons! I feel a bit that maybe Paladin would fit in better with the character but it would clash with Monk and Druid levels and he'd need more Charisma
@TheChiefBusta2 жыл бұрын
I think let me solo her would be doable as a kensei monk/ bladesinger multi class. Maybe fighting initiate or a level of fighter for dual wielding.

He also can't extinguish my need for Elden Ring builds.

Arms of the Astral Self as armaments instead of actual arms. I'm gonna have to keep that one in mind.
@jnhensley092 жыл бұрын
Monk/Druid/Cleric multiclass characters can be extremely powerful if they're played properly. Lots of good abilities from Monk with the spellcasting of a full spellcaster? Yes please.

If I had a nickel for every time an elden ring boss was a spore druid, I’d have to nickels. Which isn’t much, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

The ugly king that put our ambitions to rest is not only a great tutorial boss for us but an example of undying devotion to protect the Erdtree despite his curse. Morgott might be an omen, and because of it hated by many and damned to die or to live a tragic life from its birth because of its own mother, and yet he didn't doubted his devotion to the golden order (just as me requesting a Tangle the lemur build from Sir Tulok, btw, please?) facing even his fellow demigods he wield arcane power with dexterous mastery to show us the power of this cursed-blood king.

Instead of clogging up the character sheet with so many abilitys from Monk why not take a few levels into paladin? Re-flavour the level of smites as the different holly weapons he uses? (Daggers,spear,sword,hammer)
@Mitcheck3152 жыл бұрын
I kinda wanna see Mohg next but mainly cause I have no idea how to translate throwing your own flaming blood at your enemies and NIHIL into DnD
@jeremykugler47722 жыл бұрын
If I had to build Mohg I would probably build him as GOOlock Pact of Blade 14/Pyromancy Sorcerer 6. GOOlock since his Patron the Formless Mother is an Outer God and the level 14 ability Create Thrall is pretty much how he creates his Bloody Fingers, Blade Pact for the Trident which is described as a tool of communion with the Mother. Pyromancy Sorcerer to add fire spells to your reportair and between Hellish Rebuke and Heart of Fire you got a pretty good aproximation of burning cursed blood bursting from your body (though the damage from Heart of Fire will be pretty low. Flavor though!). No idea how to Nihil though maybe Circle of Death? Of course just like you I'd be very interested how Tulok does Mohg, he always surprises!
@Mitcheck3152 жыл бұрын
@@jeremykugler4772 vampiric touch is on the warlock list so maybe that could make due but idk if there's a ranged option that does damage and heals you. There's probably a bard or paladin that does that though they have everything lol
@auroragamer12 жыл бұрын
It's pretty dang hard, honestly. The flaming blood isn't too bad, just reflavour some evocation or conjuration spells that deal lasting damage in an area. Flaming Sphere, Fire Wall and Incendiary Cloud are all very good options. Even if you can't take all three of them, they'll serve you well, and, as Jeremy said below, Hellish Reboke can also work pretty nicely. The Nihil thing, though... If you were willing to make Mohg a revenant, then you could maybe twin spell a Negative Energy Flood to target both you and an enemy? But not only is Mohg not really a revenant, but this also isn't that strong: 5d12 damage dealt, 5d12 damage healed. It's better than Vampiric Healing with Distant Spell, but not by much. There's also Wither and Bloom, I suppose... But like... There are many ways to heal yourself when you *kill* an enemy, and not so many for when you just deal damage to them
