This video is an early intermediate-level piano tutorial for Beethoven's famous "Moonlight Sonata", first movement.
Did you know that "Moonlight Sonata" is not what Beethoven called this piece? When he wrote it, he just called it Sonata Opus 27 Number Two. However, a music critic in the audience during one of his first performances heard it and said that it sounded like moonlight on a lake. When this critic published their article, people thought “Moonlight Sonata" and that became its nickname.

nice job teaching people how NOT to play in the originally written key of c# minor ... but I do like that you play it first and then go into your teachings.

What version is this? I don't recognise it from measure 6 on? Aside from the key change from the original c#m, the versions I have seen have the triple eighth notes in the top, treble bar and the whole notes in the bass.

This is a simplified version of Beethoven's original work. It was modified to make it more playable for intermediate students.
