So u can attach already spent don cards?

@@shayed_6668 Provided you have an ability that lets you, yes! Luffy (ST01-001) and Nami (ST01-007) for instance allow you to attach already spent Don!! to cards.

Started watching OP in June and now I'm looking into the card game after distancing myself from MtG. This was a lot easier to digest for me than the official How to Play video, thanks for this breakdown 👍

Glad I could help! Yeah, I actually started watching because of the card game, haha. At the Marineford arc now… The game is a blast. Some balancing issues, but they appear to be sorting it all out. Totally worth playing though! Best of luck with all your packs 🤘

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, tried to find a fun way to spin the typical tutorial vid, haha. I’m playing Sorcery right now as well and there are sooo many parallels between the two games. I feel like that game could use a good “How To” 👀 Maybe I tackle it, what with Beta releasing soon.

@@kmwinkler I contacted their camp about making content. It'll take a minute, but honestly? ... I can see doing one. This video is actually picking up steam 👀 Which is nice to see! I just want to make sure my efforts are going towards the right projects, so it's a definite consideration.

Yes! I feel confident enough with my deck building now that I think I can provide some solid deck profiles for off-meta lists. I play a lot of Blue, personally, so we might start there 👀

I play Pokemon and MTG, but the One Piece TCG has become really popular where I live in Japan, so I decided to cave and buy a few starter decks today. I have a feeling I am going to be hooked on another card game and my wallet is going to hate me lol. Anyway, this video was a great intro, and very easy to understand as an MTG player.

Haha, ohhh yeah... I've spent a bit on this game, but once you get play sets of those core cards out of the way, you're good to build anything! Right now I'm just missing the 8c Katakuri's (which are far too rich for my blood), but OPTCG has been such a fun game. Good luck on your journey, nakama!

Hahaha, seriously. I just got through the Thriller Bark arc! I’ve watched some of the movies prior, but am now going through the whole series. It’s enjoyable seeing the cards I’ve played appear in the show. Definitely be weary of spoilers though with this game.

I had been told that the buff granted by Don cards only applies during your own turn. If a character has a "Don bonus" does that stop working as well?

How do you mean by "Don!! Bonus"? So, yes, if you read any Don!! card it says "Your Turn +1000". Some effects will give you a buff until the start of your next turn, perhaps this is what you're referencing(?). If you have a specific card you're thinking about, let me know!

Buddy Battle? That's a 2v2 format you can play. I'm not certain of any 4 player free-for-all format. Buddy Battles are fun though! Just know that they can take some time to conclude, but I'd say it's the more "sociable" format for OPTCG.

No, sadly… They made a tutorial game that lets you play two of the OP Starters, but that’s about it. I’d love a digital version. Hopefully we get one soon. If you see people (myself included) gaming on KZfaq in a digital space, it’s likely OPTGSim. 👌

It was from a comic book store in NY, but it’s official merch! I believe they sell these online(?) too, but I haven’t checked. Good luck finding one!

It is worth buying 300 random cards for 30 bucks? And can I play with my brother with that many(or few) cards?

Hmm, maybe yes, maybe no? $30's not bad and I keep playsets of every common to secret rare from each set (just so I have them), so this'll likely fill out your common/uncommon pool of cards. I'd advise just (when available/not insanely priced) buying a new box and breaking that with your brother instead: play some sealed and have fun!

Double attack only works on life, so if the opponent has 1 life they lose the one life and not the game.

@@LocalGameGroup no between the playability and price of product just wasn't worth it went back to the typical games like pokemon, mtg,yugioh to be honest even cardfight vanguard felt more fun and had better art one piece tcg is cool from a collection perspective but far to expensive to hold the interest when games like mtg at least make a premium price on a pack more worth the risk. Rates in the game just kinda crush collectors though especially for a new game

Yea honestly if one piece was like one of the big 3 the packs unless they are a special type of pack shouldn't go over $5-6 per pack not $14-15 per as a base price and finding it is ridiculous because one piece has more scalpers than any other game atm it's overtaken pokemon In scalping which is sad
