I played this game with 2 friends, and with the base rules, it was ridiculously difficult! We tried a couple of times and no matter how little strategizing we did and how frantic we were, we couldn't beat the timer. We decided to try our own timer (phone) and we stood a better chance by playing with, I believe we used 4 minutes.

Probably off using event cards to move the timer and/or waste.
