Frank, my wallet hates you. I mean, I was still deciding whether or not to buy the game but your video convinced me. It's like when designing this game they looked at three of my favorites (The Isle of Cats, Fire in the Library and Calico), took the best elements from each, and voilà! Same universe as The Isle of Cats but simplified in both setup and gameplay, fire triggering mechanic which adds for playing more strategically and gives you a "visual timer", and the campaign/scenarios idea sounds really exciting for great replayability. I just can't wait for it to arrive! :D

Are the scenario books (more specifically the score sheets) available as a pdf? I could photocopy the sheet, so long as it's standard size. Just thinking longevity amongst all the family members playing it, over time. Regards, Marc

Just to confirm. You have play all 3 of your cards each round, you can't save onto any?

Hey Rob, that is correct, you have to play them all. This does mean you may be forced to play a pathway card onto the island that you don't want to play, and you may want to keep this in mind while planning who should play when!

Can I discard a card, without doing any action? Without moving a cat?

You can't, each card must be used for either placing on the island or moving a cat.

@@CityofGamesHQ So if I get into situations where all cats are exhausted and I have 1 card in my hand. I need to put it somewhere on the board and then place a fire. I will not be able to discard it right? Just double checking :-)

@@defaultlmk9290 That is correct, and if you can't place the card, then you'll lose. So, you'll want to account for this in your planning.

Unfortunately yes! Vesh's armies have arrived and are responsible for all the bad that will be happening during the game.

@@CityofGamesHQ Sounds like you’ll need pictures of players cats walking on the fire tiles to show some paw-lidarity with the islands poor inhabitants.

I'm sorry to hear that Tah, it makes Race to the Raft a fantastic game but if it isn't a mechanism you enjoy then I'm glad you found out now rather than after you purchased it :)

I actually agree with you, this makes the game more frustrating and kinda awkward in a way, I believe all games should be of communication and vocal
