Hi, I’m not a keyboard player, but I can’t begin to tell you just how much I enjoyed watching this video. Just fantastic! I love this song (I was around when it first came out). I loved it then, and it is still an incredible song to this day. Your deconstruction/re-creation of the song’s introduction, verses, origin, dark mood, and guitar and keyboard solos only served to enhance my appreciation that much more. I’ve always been impressed with your incredible musical ability, on multi instruments, but you hit a home run with this video lesson. I’ve saved it, and I’ll share it with my many Doors’ friends. I don’t know the musical term for it, but it’s like musical onomatopoeia when the image of rainfall is played. Cat Stevens employs this technique in “Sad Lisa”, and The Cascades do the same in “Rhythm of the Rain”, as does Sir Paul in “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey”. I’m not name dropping; I’m just citing songs that use this technique to create a particular mood. I’d like to know the name of this technique if you know it, please. Thank you for the excellent, entertaining, and enlightening video. Similar videos on iconic songs would be greatly appreciated. I have watched some (Anna, Go to Him), but others would also be enjoyed and appreciated.

I have five Strats I love including the new Elite series and a couple of mid 1990s Plus series with the lovely sounding Lace Sensors. Do you know what color your Strat is. I can't seem to match it up with the Fender charts. Close but no cigar. Its just a great guitar with an exception artist plugged into it. Love your music JD-PA-USA

LA Woman was the last with Morrison, but IT WAS NOT the last Doors album...the surviving members soldiered on for two more albums, Other Voices in 1971, and Full Circle in 1972. Yeah, they are an acquired taste, but there are a few good tracks scattered across the 2 albums. Also there was An American Prayer in 1978, which was the surviving 3 adding newly written music to previous recorded spoken word performances of Jim Morrison reciting his poetry.
