I am a new player, and this is so cool, I will be playing with this for a bit till I get it, what a fun little tune.... I am a wood artist and this gives me such a great release and energizes me to get me to create even more art, and visa versa, Art and music, how can anyone live without it.... excuse me. On 03:46 i would like to know how to play the 3 draw bend sound. I could bend 3 draw, but the 3 draw bend sound you play is a little bit unclear, just like you vibrate it. If you could answer, i would be really grateful. Thank you!!

These are REALLY tasty licks!!! Any advice on getting really clean bends?? I finally learned to bend, but they seem to me kind of......choked, not as clear and clean and loud as I hear from other players.

Seems like this song would sound like the original with that harmonica amp you recently posted about, or maybe it's just the addition of the other instruments that gives it an extra wallop..

A good lesson and a great song with harp parts. Thanks Tomlin. Though I'm still struggling to get the timing right with the backing! PS I seem to hear something like a little -1/ -1 -2 'hook' there at the start. Anyone else trying to add that that in?

Yeah, its a 2nd harp - this track is deceptively hard when trying to keep the chug on the offbeat after doing some of the licks in the verses, i suspect they used two harp tracks in the recording, this opening lick being the give-away

I dont get it i can hit hole 3 and 2 bends easily and sounds good . But when ever i attack the 4 draw and 4 draw bend, it just sounds unpleasant. I stopped everything about a year ago to try figure out the problem but no luck .

How hard is the 2 draw whole step bend? I can't seem to get it, never mind clarity, I just can't get the pitch to drop enough. Help!

Dov Landzbaum just drop your jaw all the way down in a free and quick motion and you'll hit the note. Just literally drop your jaw letting it completely loose.

I'm following you with a C key harmo but the tone it rings different than yours. What kind or brand is the harmo you play ??? Mine is a C Suzuki.

Hi Carlos - I am playing on an A harmonica. That is why it sounds different :-)

Thanks a lot for let me know Tom, that harmo in "A" key sounds great. I have a Hohner Special 20 (progressive), in Db and a Suzuki en C. But now I understand why the big difference. After a 2nd chance I could to hear you mentioning that fact, anyway I appreciate you confirme to me this. By the way, you're really good with the harmo I'hope some day, to play the harmo just like you man. Greetings from Vancouver.

I cant seem to get good drags from the lower part of the harmonica (the left side). Any idea if that is my method at fault or a harmonica malfunction?

Jur Van Oerle I’m just getting over this problem. Don’t pull too hard. Try just to breathe rather than suck. 2 draw is particularly problematic for me but I’m getting there with practice.

Absolutely, you can play it any key you want. You just need to make sure you are playing in the same key as the band :-)

The A is quite a bit lower than those harps. The lower keys area harder to bend - require more air pressure. I would persevere and see how you get on. Make sure that you have a good tight embouchure on the harmonica. That will help. Let me know how you get on :-)
