Thanks for watching. In fact, the higher hands are very very rare in the game. Most of the time it's sabacc or sabacc with a pair. When in doubt you can always look up the hands list in the rulebook! That's what I did when I started playing this game

You don't shuffle the cards between rounds. However, you do it after each game of course, after the three rounds.

I must admit the only times I folded were during the last round because as you said, the hands can drastically change at the end of a round during the spike phase so... If you've got a bad hand either try to improve it or wait for the dice!

@@LaTribunedeCoruscant that's what I was thinking, but according to Han, if Lando had the Sylop he would've won the game. In the rule book, Rule of Two doesn't include a Sylop.

I assume that contrarily to what I said before, maybe the presence of the sylop would have meant that Lando would have a Yee-Haa (zero with a pair and a Sylop), which would have been a better hand..

the only alternative would be to record on paper how many credits each player is betting.

You don't have to use credit chips for betting, you could just use real money, casino chips or even Monopoly money, just what you have laying around.

You just skip the betting phase and make actions free and then remove the take from the face up card action.

The spike dice are used at the end of every round. Everybody reveals their cards at the end of the third and final round

Everyone has to reveal their hands just after the third and final spike phase. That's just luck at this point 😁

The credits and the dice were made by a friend of mine. The dice are 3d printed and if I remember what he told me he 3d printed several credits and used them to make a mold. Then he used resin to make the credits in a cheaper way than 3d printing every single one of them.

@@LaTribunedeCoruscant ok so something that I wondered while I played Sabacc most of the time there were no plays mainly nulreks and pairs but nothing that matches any of the plays on the rulebook so I kept on playing games and my opponent and I got 0 but with 2 cards for example say i got to 0 with 2 10s (+10 and -10 obviously) and that would win me the game and both pots because I won with a perfect 0 and because of the 0 I won the Sabacc pot too in the rulebook there's nothing that says a play with 2 cards equaling 0 so I thought is this a nulrek or is it simply Sabacc with a pair but the play for Sabacc with a pair says it has to be 0 with a pair and shows that there's 3 cards so is this Sabacc with a pair or is it just a play bit listed and if it is a unlisted play how would I determine the winner if say I got a play that's higher like Banthas wild but that the pair of my opponent looks to be better what I mean is what if my banthas wild looks like it cant win because my 0 isn't enough and their hand looks better how would i determine who wins sorry i just need to know this so i can attend to this and determine the real winner when a play like that happens

It should be considered as a Yee-Haa indeed. If there's another Yee-Haa, the hand with the closest pair to 0 wins. In that case you have two pairs, so a better chance to have the best pair.

You can often get Sabacc hands honestly. The thing is to stay in control of what you get as much as you can, the best way is my drawing the face up card. And there's also luck that will help you, but you can never know when!

Les Valenzuela I actually managed to seamlessly move this into a normal bicycle deck. It’s pretty easy actually, just have 2 decks. Red suits are negative, black suits are positive. 2 jokers are the “0” cards. Then sort out the decks so that there are 3 1-10 red sets and 3 1-10 black sets and easy peesy

Syllop is the name for the 0 card.

What I meant by "does it have a value" I meant that In the Solo movie, I saw that Lando could won, if he had a Syllop but if its a zero, how does it make a difference.

the object of the game is to reach zero, the sylop, having a value of zero, is the strongest card in the game. Remember that reaching zero with more cards is a better hand, which means having a sylop automatically makes a hand with a value of zero better. Plus, the highest winning hands use the sylops.

I made them myself by recreating the card designs we see in the film. When I printed them I used 150g paper sheets so that the cards wouldn't be too thin. For each card I printed the recto and the verso on separate sheets

I regret to inform you that I don't have the original design for the credits. A friend of mine did them for me. I know that he made a 3D printed coin first and used it to make a mold. He poured resin into the mold to make a lot of credits cheaper.

At the end of the third and final round, if the dice show matching symbols, all the players must discard their hands and receive new cards. There isn't another round after the third and the players must show the hands they just received, and judging with these hands, a winner is designated.

If you were doing a dollar poker night..what would you say would roughly be the value of bronze silver and gold credits?

im assuming the bronze would be a dollar..silver 5$..and gold $25...but maybe its opposite..i dont know?

@@seanomeara6979 the token values don't really matter as long as you determine it before playing. For example in my Sabacc case, brown = 1 credit, silver = 5 credits, gold = 10 credits.
