as someone whos played slosher for almost 8 years ive started to see a pattern the vanialla kit is usually the best displacer and has the best special spammability, decos are using agro/ space taking , and soda have always been the midline wildcard

I appreciate you making these Slosher videos! I am a 100% Inkbrush main, and I have (for a while now) been looking for another weapon to learn that doesn’t require intensive aiming. [Because… y’know… I’ve never had to aim before.] After realizing that Slosher Deco was “the one”, I went searching for a guide and here we are. The weapon is very fun, and your advice is a nice compliment to it. I look forward to using your tips out there in future battles :)

this guide will really help me (as well as your new tri guide) as since stamper is gonna fall off (atleast QR stamper), i personally need to find something new to play or im going to struggle. since this has zipcaster and combos + prior experience from S2 with both buckets i will be able to transition quickly over to these 2 weapons, especially deco bucket….. so thankyou for the guides

i've mained this since the weapon came out. imo equally as good as vanilla slosher viability wise - sure, the sub is the worst in the game, but it makes up for it with a much more synergistic special (slosher deco has the best zipcaster synergy in the entire game), and the sub itself has synergy with the main weapon - it's just not great at anything other than comboing. meanwhile, vanilla slosher has a better sub, but tri strike is really bad for slosher (good slosher positions are bad tri strike positions). you're kinda trading off having a good sub vs having a good special when you pick slosher versus slosher deco - except, slosher deco has a way more *fun* sub and special so you should play that one :) it mainly needs buffs to angle shooter, though zipcaster could use a minor nudge as well. the main weapon is very good and doesn't need changes at all, especially after the last patch. it's really just the kit that needs balance tweaks

As a Slosher class main since the 2nd game, I found your guide very informative! I always stuck to vanilla Slosher in both 2 and 3 and while I played around with Deco a bit in this game, I struggle with getting the feel for it. I still believe the vanilla kit is better, but Deco definitely has some potential.

This is a great video, I definitely learned a lot about how to use the slosher deco! Originally, I just brushed the weapon off as being bad since it has line marker, but I now see that it has some serious capabilities.

Tried to use it like tri. Kinda worked but u cant be as aggressive sadly. The line marker combo is pretty fancy tho bc u slosh and sub right after which is a really fast oneshot combo. The other way around with using sub first feels clunky tho. Still a nice kit since i like playing really aggressive.

Yeah, Tri is way more aggressive than Slosher. More sharking, getting directly into the face of the opponent. I’ll be sure to explain that in the Tri video!

to me one of the most importnt abilities for slosher deco is 2 subs of Special saver cause of how the weapon plays: It will most likely die (so good QR) and you can also die using zip caster. Tjis ability is super underated on DSlosh to me for how important zip caster is with this weapon and how poorly the weapon paints

Ive been loving these guides and been loving slosher deco, but as someone who has a lot of time in the splatana stamper, what makes the slosher deco worth using over stamper? Is it just preference?

That is a very good question, and I think it's just like you say, it's preference. Right now, given the Splash/Crab Tank meta, people value being able to shred specials, burst bombs to poke/chip, and create pressure from a distance, so obviously stamper might be the better choice. But there is something Slosher can do that stamper can't. Think of Flounder Heights, Slosher works well around walls because of how the sloshes work. Stamper can't really hit people behind cover with the main weapon. At the end of the day, Stamper does seem to be the preferred one given the meta.
