Hopefully you found something useful in this Steven Universe "player guide" of sorts! I might do another video and cover some other things about Steven I've been figuring out since the update dropped. Probably just thinking out loud over some gameplay or something.

Well they say he's hard to learn,
but If you sit right back

I can show you how much he's worth
First let's talk the obvious:
He's got the only true shield in the game
It'll take 3 hits before it breaks
and the parriess are just insane.
Steven can make platforms
and he can even make walls too
you better get the hell out of the way
if he shoots a shield at you.
His up-aerial is nasty
and is down-aerial is too
but his Neutral-air is CRAZY
he becomes a projectile, dude.
His forward-air extends
way further than you'd think
and his airborne down-special
makes him surf on a shield
and it looks pretty sweet.
You wanna stay mostly in the air,
way more deadly than on your feet
Once your enemy's above you:
Up-Special, Up-Air, and repeat.

I was once a Garnet main from the beta version but recently Ive become a Steven main and he helped me rise to #1 on the Top Dog Challenge. Hopefully I get to use the neutral air attack more because this looks helpful.

The ones featured in the vid are the main ones I've found success with so far. Still experimenting with perks overall, but collateral damage/bounce bubble is my favorite combo

I just wrote the lyrics and used an ai music program to generate the song, and then tinkered around to edit it a bit

@@Gordypow Wish there were stats displayed on perks! Recently dropped Collateral Damage to experiment with Last Stand and I havent felt too big of a difference. Have you labbed with and without Collateral?

I've had collateral on since back in the beta, just because bouncing enemies is such a fundamental part of my playstyle. The extra damage adds up nicely and pairs so well with bounce bubble's stun extension
