SHANE I WAS LISTENING TO A LOT OF FOLKS ON KZfaq. I SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR SITE. SO I ENJOYED THE WAY YOU PLAY AND MORE IMPORTANT THE WAY YOU TEACH. JUST TOLD MY SON TO SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR PAGE. DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD PICKED UP THE GUITAR. HE DIDN'T KNOW I HAD. GAVE HIM ONE OF MY GUITAR. LEFT HERE PROUD AS A PEACOCK. I GOT MARRIED 43YRS AGO STARTED HAVING KIDS. WORKED ALL THE TIME. PUT AWAY THE GUITAR. 41YRS LATER AFTER I RETIRED. TOLD WIFE I WAS GETTING A GUITAR. STARTED PLAYING. WIFE TOLD ME WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN JUST 4 WEEKS. BEING NICE. FIVE GUITARS LATER FOUND OUT MY SON WAS LEARNING GUITAR. I WAS HAPPY TO HELP HIM ALONG. TOLD HIM IT WAS THERAPEUTIC. HE SAID HE KNOWS. THANKS SHANE. PICKED UP SOME OF THE LEAD ON SIMPLE MAN THIS MORNING. NEVER TO OLD

Great Lesson! I always enjoy them! Your patience, and the way you approach them is WONDERFUL! I started guitar 8 months ago.. I did 2 open mics before Covid hit...and just finished playing my first major solo gig yesterday! 600 people! Yeah... No SHIT! It was a private party at a lakeside home... 50 people there. 20 more than anticipated... However! The REAL crowd were the boaters! We stopped counting at 74... With anywhere from 4 to 20 per boat! There were a lot of filled pontoon boats... GREAT gig! Rousing cheers and applause.. and scored on tips! DISCLAIMER! I am a Professional multi-instrumentalist with 18 yrs under my belt...Guitar is my 9th, and newest instrument... Individual results may vary ;) THANK YOU for keeping me company throughout the winter, and getting me up to speed on this damned thing! IMO? Harder than my fiddle.... Progress!
