Thanks for the suggestion Philip; over on Patreon, I think it turned out pretty good.
We have an absolute whopper of a lesson for the magical and magnificently moody track "Ten Years Gone." Interesting fact - it took me about ten tears to shoot and edit the thing!
I hope you don't mind the gaps between uploads at the moment, I figured as the bigger tutorials are doing well I'd take my time to learn some new stuff and teach it.
Let me know your thoughts and suggestions for other videos in the comments below.
Have fun!

@@godbyone Did not take too long as I was already familiar with the tune, and none of the parts are too difficult. I had just never learned it perfectly, which I’m now doing since I have some time. So if you’re a decent player, it shouldn’t take too long, depending on your skill level. Thx.

Sped My departed brother taught me this Zep tune some 30yrs ago. After I had a plate and 7 bolts placed in my arm..wounded Marine vet therapy.. Your patience reminded me of him and touched my soul and brought back those young days of a care free memory sitting on the front porch taking lesson from him.. I just have a Alvarez r20d12 but with this tutorial I will be getting a Strat and a Katana 50 is in the works. I am very rusty but still have a motivation to clean it up. Keep it up.. your patience is a virtue.. your editing and the quad split screens tells me you disected the song as Jimmy did. I know that was "dayz of work". Well done and keep it up.. Just fantastic.

It was inspirational to read your story, Ginny. Keep at it and you'll get there. I had a smashed right wrist (along with other injuries) some 14 years ago and couldn't play for about 4 years. Had to change hands and relearn. Had a new wrist built about 5 years ago and it's opened up a new world for me. Since I've Been Lovin' You is THE song that made me take up the guitar some 45 years ago and it's only since I decided to relearn has my playing really improved. Channels like this one are an absolute godsend and should be given the recognition they deserve. A big thanks to Sped too for the amazing work put in.

This is Page on display as master guitar composer and arranger. It's actually a rather simple song, but the depth of his guitar orchestration makes it such a rich tonal palette. As always though with Zep, the sum is greater than it's disparate parts. Plants lovelorn lyrics alongside the carefully crafted music had me crying my eyes out over lost teenage love a few decades ago. Emotion plus incredible creativity and musicality makes this one of my all time favorites. No other band has captured lightning in a bottle quite like Zeppelin did.

This is why Jimmy Page is so incredible. For example.. the intro... the nuances, the variations...each one builds and resolves....the light and shade. It's these little things that make such a massive difference and make his music living, breathing works of art. Again, you've done a great job recognising and pointing out these nuances as being important...because they are.

Yeah they were actually really tricky with the fingers coming off one after the other. Took a moment to get it right.

Glad to hear it! How far through are you? It's like 95% covered minus a few things which I included in the TAB, but I play them on screen so people can copy.

Thanks so much Scott. I look back fondly on this lesson. Took me ages to work it all out but it made the filming a breeze because it was so prepped. Have a great Christmas. 🎄

Just recently been devoting time to learning this so I'm stoked to find this lesson. The tab I have didn't sound right. This makes so much more sense. Thanks!

Online tabs are generally “alright” but if I’ve ever used one I consider it a dodgy foundation and redraft the whole thing. 😂

One of my favorite Zeppelin songs, and you nailed it. I started guitar 2 years ago and glad I found you. Your an awesome teacher Sped. Most teachers are very academic. You’re like learning from a buddy who’s a great guitarist and still just as in awe of Jimmy Page as I am. Thanks for the lesson, never thought I’d learn this one.

That’s so cool David. Exactly how I want the lessons to come across, relaxed, entertaining, personal and obviously education and inspiration at the forefront of everything. I try to keep them as close to a real life one-on-one lesson as possible. 🙌🏻🔥
