Wow, man! Great lesson! A big, big thank-you! Understandable....step by step - an easy to understand lesson in clear words of a great song from a great age, performed by a great band with a great guitarist! ( But I think, one should appreciate the work of Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer, too....). And I like, how you play it! I like Peter Greens guitar work and especially this song so much - now i hope, i soon will be able to propose the integration of the "Green Manalishi" into my bands repertoire as a live highlight! I hope we can work it out to catch the intension of the songs feeling..... I think, the right feeling for each chord and phrase is very important here! So it would have been even more fantastic, if you'd given some info about the background of the song and Peter Greens guitar technique...well, perhaps next time...again - thanx a lot! - It's so important for the young guitsr-players of today, to know and stick to the heritage of important songs of the high times of rock and blues... Best wishes, stay healthy and keep rocking!!🎸🤟

This would be awesome if it didn't sound like trying to select sockets out of the standard drawer when you only need metric. All these 74/56 diminished sustained G flat Sharp extra third octave G# over 9 diminished flat sustained F7 flat extra sharp minor diminished 7 8-ball in tha corner pocket chords.

Thanks for the comments DJ, I agree that some of these chord names can be a bit difficult to work with. In a band setting we would always just revert to the basic chord names like a G or a C chord, Just wanted to be spot on in the video. Don't let the crazy chord names stop you, Good luck with the song and thanks for watching, :)

Love your comment man, I get what you mean , just laughed my ass of here....BUT Peter Green was one of the most inventive guys out there at the time, with Hendrix and Jeff Beck, all of them used jazz chords, this song has a very distinguished and recognizable sound we can replicate ONLY by playing it like he did. That little G major scale passage over the Em root, along with the intro chords is what makes all this sound a little bit jazzy. With basic chords you get basic sound - no Peter Green there.

@@GuitarAnimal it's been a year and I still have not found anyone that can teach that "theory" crap in an understandable way. EVERY lesson I have EVER got has been a carbon copy of the last instructor I was so frustrated with because he refused to use anything less than scientific linguistics that would Proclaim him to be the most intelligent carbon-based entity located within the radius around us. What I would give to teach a theory instructor Hip-Hop turntablism BUT only using terminology that would be understandable by other scratch DJs in Hip Hop such as a twiddle, flare Orbitz, double/triple click flair, crab and others while acting like I don't know why the student don't understand the terms,, HELLO! THE WORDS ARE IN ENGLISH... duh...

That third chord is not like that. And from that third chord nothing is wright. Tabs are the worst. Ears and eyes are the wright way.

Good afternoon Silviu, a couple things for you to consider, First there is no video of Peter Greens studio performance of this song so a video reference is not available for the studio take. Second, there are multiple guitar tracks on this song, I am doing my best to cover the main guitar sounds that are present on this track. In live videos only playing the chords that Mr. Green plays would not always accomplish this.

@@GuitarAnimal hy! I am using my ears. There is not recorded version of this song that uses this chords that you are playing. Not one overdubbed guitar is playing those chords. You say that you are just doing one guitar. But no guitar part has this chords. Is as simple as thatThis is happening with Hendrix lessons also.Nobody watches the footage or using their ears. You are teaching. Here is my problem. You can play it as you like. But a little bit more research won't heart.
