Nope nothing will break. It will just recognize the save data when you load the game up

Ive never had issues with the extra characters. Also, I've never had issue with just clicking select all then install. They just install in the correct order if you leave the file names unaltered

i play mario 3D world and Zelda breath of the wild on usbhelper , never owned a wiiu , so never got to play breath of the wild , but they both look amazing in 4K on a 69'' projector , and some well placed speakers with a little bit of ''space'' / reverb to fill the room it's a fun game for free , too bad it's about the Only fun/descent game in the Entire collection of the wiiu that's on usbhelper

i downloaded captain toad and super mario 3d world both those games don't open up. it just gets stuck. while shovel knight and zeld windbreaker works fine. I have tried multiple times to run those two games but they do not open up. what could be the issue?

When I try to download via USB it doesn't work, I tried with the SD Card (been formatted to Fat32) still doesn't work, then I tried using a USB where I can't change the format as I don't wanna lose all the games just for me to not be able to copy any games to it. Is there anyway to fix this?

@@funkyscott47 I'd say very good deal. Three physical games included (gonna sell off two), Wii remote included, sensor bar included, console and handheld in great condition. I'm itching to play Gamecube again and while I do have one hooked up if I have understood it correctly this console will allow me to do so handheld natively?

For me, Batman arkham origins does not recognize it when installing, I open the wup installer but it gives an error saying that it did not find any installable content. Has anyone downloaded this game and installed it normally? Sorry for the English, using google translator .... Edit: Just remove the (tm) symbol (or any other special symbol) from the folder name that wup will recognize.

Try plugging that in your pc to see if it wiil say "Something is wrong" and then you'll scan and repair.

You can install them to your nand, but that is only around 30gb

*************** some things you can ignore from most of these videos ************************** 1) Dont bother renaming. Wii U usb helper manages this for you and tells you when it detects a bad filename. If you are installing a large library then you'll regret starting this way. 2) Let wii U usb helper manage the sd copy 3) Install everything from sd at the same time, updates and dlc will be installed after the game anyway. 4) arcade punks has a wiiu retro image which works very well. It is slow to open but is great.

A question for NUSspli, I'm a broke boy myself the largest SD card I have is 8gb which I gave to my dad when I modded his 3ds, I have a 4gb SD card and a 2gb USB drive. I want to install games onto my nand but since my SD and USB are to small I cannot install what I want (Twilight princess HD) as it's 4.46gb I would like to install it onto the nand but it says "This may brick your console are you sure you want to continue?" and I'm afraid of bricking my Wii U and since I have no money on hand I wouldn't be able to afford a new one. Can you help me confirm that it'll work if I go through and potentially brick my console?

if you downloaded the games from usb helper and transferred them on from the app, they should be already in an install folder that would be automatically created. If not, you can just create one yourself too

you can't play wii u games from your sd card, but you can play anything from wii or older on it using other methoids like wiiflow and nintendont. you can also install wii u games to your nand if you'd like

Legit same thing i thought about when buying an sd card, was about to buy a 256 Sd card but thought about watching the video again about 3 days after and pretty happy the shipping was slow so i cancelled it and just bought a 64 gb sd and a 256 gb usb with it and the usb i use and it working fine is the sandisk 256 gb usb stick as most of the sandisk ones work with it

Yup nand is the Wii u's internal storage! You can keep an eye on storage space left on it in the Wii u settings too

@@yungbeanz2364 i just installed NUSspli, downloads take a little longer but you do it directly on the console. The only game i found issues with is wii party U but the rest is fine. FunkyScott47 has a guide on it and it works like a charm

What do you recommend to use a USB stick or a hard drive? I have read that USB sticks are not good to play games because they malfunction quickly. Regards

I would recommend a hard drive with a y splitter cable as I have heard some people's usb drives stopped working, but I haven't had any issues with my 128 Gb pny so it might be a hit or miss

The game files need to be on the SD card at first. After installing them with WUP installer, you can delete the game files off the SD card. Just make sure you're installing the games to the USB and not nand.

double check that you didn't put any special characters like question marks/commas, etc in the game folders and that your install folder is spelled correctly

yup! you no longer need to file in the install folder once you have it installed on your wii u. and if you have the game installed to your usb drive then yes

I have heard of 256gb cards working, and I think it doesn't really matter the size, as long as it's formatted as fat32

The actual max size for SD cards its actually 2TB. But 1TB barely came out like in 2018, and its still expensive like 150$ 2TB for SD Cards hasn't even came out and its gonna be even more expensive. But yea the limit for Wii U (and Wii, 3ds, and the FAT32 format) is like 2TB, so you'll be fine with anything 64GB or above, as long as it's FAT32 format and you can afford it. *TL;DR* The biggest size is 2TB but currently the max size of an SD card is 1TB, so as long as its FAT32, pretty much any size

Hey I just clicked onto this video because I have a Wii U modded to be region free with the 119 value in the XML and all that, but USA Mario Kart 8 crashes unless I use spiik to force it to load in English. The only problem is, I want to play mods for the game, and that would require SDCafiine which can't run on top of spiik. So, I tried dumping my MK8 disk, replacing the files with the mod's ones, and packing it into an installable format with NUSPacker, with the hope that when I installed it, I could use it with Spiik. The only problem is, when I try to install it with WUP Installer GX2 I get the error "Verify WUP files are correct & complete. DLC/E-Shop require sig patch." (Let me also clarify that I would prefer not to pirate anything). Any ideas?

@@Rocky-sk1kg So I don't know how similar your situation was but my problem was that I didn't put the Wii U common key into the "encryptKeyWith" file. Putting it in fixed it and it installs fine now.

You might just need to create the file in like Notepad with no extension if it isn't there EDIT: Also are you packing a game with NUSPacker or just downloading/installing it? Just making sure that you're having the same problem

It's only used to transfer Wii u games on, but you can store Wii, gcn, and other retro games on it
