Maybe good to mention that this won't work with original Game Boy games. You can only rewrite these bootlegs because they have a flash chip on them, which isn't the case for original games. There is also a third option which is flashing higher quality cartridges, specially built for your games, with nothing on it before. There is even more options. Like DIY devices, and lots more...

I didn't actually know that, I never tried rewriting an original! I knew about the third option, but I know that can sometimes be expensive I would love to see a video by you about the DIY devices, I haven't dove very deep into that world myself

I have an ezflash Jr and it works great! It’s great for vacations since I can take as many games as I want on my SD cart (32Gb)

being in the philippines theres a lot of repo/bootlegged carts here specially chinese themed games, so thanks fr this vid this is how ill play my games on the og game boy....IF I HAVE ONE

Can you make a video on the process? From putting the gb file onto the SD card to actually putting it into the GB device? That would be super helpful!

what about the gameboy it self? you forgot to talk about it! like what is the best gameboy hardware to use for GBS? also can you do both emulation and physical cartridges? and where to get them? can you make another video?

Sorry I didn't show the original GameBoy, but as long as you don't use Color mode when making a game in GB Studio, it's exactly the same as the GameBoy Color There is no best hardware, it's about what you want. I have found this way with the EZ flash jr to be best for me. But I also have an emulator on my desktop and physical cartridges for making test 'prints' of games. The multiple cartridges also came in use when I was testing the link cable! I bought the cartridges from AliExpress but there are many sources from other creators if you would prefer to support them. There are some great articles on GB Studio Central about this kind of stuff. Just a note, when buying cartridges on AliExpress, the links and shops change so often it can be frustrating to find them there. Hope that answers your questions without needing another video?

Can recommend the EZFlash JR - it will need a firmware update though! The battery on them also does not last so long, though a skilled modder can switch it to a larger battery.

I believe so, if you mean like reflashing bootleg carts, there is always the chance it might not work But on the EZ Flash jr, as long as the battery works I think
