I plugged my phone in to “aux in” on my Alesia e-drum set and even when I have the volume turned all the way up on my phone, I can barely hear the music.

Make sure it's plugged all the way in. If it still doesn't work right, try a different cable.

Hi Srumner Reuben I searched everywhere for a solution/tutorial/instructions on the internet as well as in the install guide. But as I plug in my cable in both my phone, and my Donner DED-200 nothing happens - my phone doesn't recocnize the aux input device (which it does, when I connect it to my over-ear headset). I'd really appreciate if you had any suggestion for this. Thanks in advance.

Unplug the cable from both ends, restart the phone and drum module, then plug back in. Make sure both ends are plugged all the way in. If there's a case on the phone, try removing it. If you've already tried all that, I can't think of any other fixes. Never heard of that happening before! Let me know if you find a solution.

what about a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack? This is sadly becoming more and more common these days and I am looking for a way to play music from my phone via bluetooth into my drum kit (which is not bluetooth) any ideas or dongles out there that can recieve bluetooth audio and transfer it into the drum kit?

Yes you need an adapter for your phone and plug your audio cable into it. I don't know of any other way.

I have an alesis and when I do hook up my phone I get some feedback noise is that normal or maybe something wrong with phone jack? It's like a buzzing noise.

Yes, it's getting some type of interference. Try using a different cable, or plugging the drumset power into a different outlet. Other than that, I'm not sure what would cause the buzzing noise.

@@drummereub also making sure the cables are plugged in nice and snug is key, a loose cable can cause that buzzing sound for sure

When I plug my phone in the audio still plays out loud on my phone and I hear nothing but drums in my headphones. I’ve tried with different cables and devices and it still doesn’t fix my issue. My cables are plugged in completely. The odd thing is this used to work completely fine and I could hear my phone audio correctly through the headphones. I’m sure I haven’t changed any settings anywhere which would have changed things but it just suddenly doesn’t work no matter what I try. Don’t worry if you can’t help it’s just I’ve been looking around and can’t find any answers. Cheers

The only thing I can think is maybe unplug the cable from both ends, restart the phone and drum module, then plug back in. If there's a case on the phone, try removing it. @@drummereub I did some more faffing around and I plugged in the other cable I’d tried before to my old phone with a different jack and it worked! (Clearly I must’ve not plugged that one in correctly), but with the phone I have now it still didn’t work no matter what I’d tried so I assumed it must just be that one cable. Don’t know what went wrong with it but I got a new cable and everything works perfectly now! 👍

i have an Alesis nitro drum module, when i plug in the aux cable, nothing happens, the audio from the phone plays on the phones speakers and the drumset remains the same, as if i didn't plug the cable. thanks in advance

Sounds like a malfunction with the phone or cable. Try restarting the phone first, then plug it in again and see if it works. Make sure the cable is plugged all the way in on both ends. If that doesn't work, try a new aux cable. From the Nitro Drum Module User Guide: Aux In: Use a standard 1/8" stereo cable to connect this input to an optional audio player (e.g,. MP3 player, CD player, Phone, etc.). This audio will be heard in the Outputs and Phones output. During recording, the audio from this input will not be recorded.

the cable wasn't plugged all the way in, thanks. also, when there's no sound i hear a buzzing noise, and i cannot hear my drums cause of it in recordings, have anything to do with that?

my module doesn't have "mix in" connector.. only "aux in". Is it also ok?

Depending on what module you have, there are usually jacks labeled Master Output R & L(mono). Just plug your speaker/amp into the L(mono) output, and that's it!

Oh, I was looking for how to plug electronic drums into a computer to record the drums with the computer. I guess kinda like this video but in the opposite direction with the signal.
