Thanks for the Awesome videos, Can't get enough. The fuel press regulator's are known to leak internally sending fuel into the vacuum hose and into the intake causing idle misfire and P0300. Usually after 100k miles or so, thats why they go missing lol.

The clip on regulator on the fuel rail is a high failure rate item and causes long starts. It also destroys its own evidence. Let it sit overnight and if you find fuel in the vacuum line that goes to it, it's bad.

so building a car on a whim. guessing i got a 03 due to the design of my system. in line fuel pump, had to put a return in the tank. my question. due i run the return line from the intake to the tank? can i plug the return line port in the fuel regulator i bought. my current set up is tank-filter-pump-filter-10 feet of line to the regulator under the hood regulator to fuel rail. i currently have the return port on the regulator plugged with a bolt it cam with. so can i just run a few extra feet of return line straight to the return port on the rail?

I have a 2005 silverado with a non-return fuel pump system .... but I would like to know if I can convert it to return style .... I have heard that the 2005 works with a module that controls the fuel pressure ... My plan is to install a return style pump with the corvett c5 filter so the return style pump would only install the ignition current and the pipeline until there I'm fine I think ... what worries me is that the module would be disabled and I don't know if I affect the melody or operation of the truck since I do not want to use that module ... any help would be greatly appreciated

Never had one leak. That was hundreds at the dealership as new o-rings came in the package. Hit with compressed air, wipe clean with rag, use pick to change. Love the channel but changing engines may have stressed a fitting and tiny micro fracture. When GM sees a high failure rate they ask dealers to ship them back to testing. Stress cracks was the only issue per hundred with cut o-ring, dirt. Not sorry. ASE Master Tech since 78. Retired.
