3 жыл бұрынHow to properly poop in the woods can be considered a sensitive matter but it's not and its also not difficult to do properly. If done properly the woods will be a more pleasent place to hike and mushroom pickers will be much less likely to mistake your poop for a fungus lookalike.
Step 1. Find a stick and dig a hole
Step 2. Poop in hole
Step 3. Wipe
Step 4. Burry poop and wiping paper in hole
Step 5. Wash hands

Great points about proper pooper ettiquette. It has been a problem on my local river for a while. To the point that the Forest Service has been closing dispersed camping spots.

I usually bring my dog n he eats it not a problem, but if not I prefer a soft maple leaf also, but if all else fails I will cut off a piece of my clothing /shirtsleeve etc and use that. Works for me 😂

Definitely the way to go when alpine hiking. Not the best idea in a dry forest however.
