This works! This is regular potty training for a puppy or toddler to be honest! You don’t cut the water off completely but you only allow them to drink what is needed and before bed take them to potty! Y’all folks talking about he is tripping will keep cleaning up piss then becoming frustrated with the puppy!

I agree. I do the same for my dog, I let my dog drink water and control the amount with timing according to my work schedule. This method helped me during age 0 through forever. My 🐕 is a dum dum. Thank you for posting this educational video for free

not best for health to limit their water tho. just take them outside every 45/60 mins from 8 weeks on, and increase.

Question for you. I have two dogs at home and one is already 2 yrs old, the other is a pup 4 months old. Bleu my older dog) gets thirsty in the middle of the night and so it’s been hard to cut off water because I leave it out for him. And Lola (da pup) little pissy butt is so thirsty from playing 24/7 that I almost feel a need to leave the water out. I leave a small amount in the bowl. I don’t have a crate. Please, before someone comes at me understand I have a perfectly trained BIG Cane Corso who was never crate trained. I work from home and only use them when traveling with them. Any advice is really appreciated.

You’re making it harder for yourself by not using a crate. Use a crate, continue cutting off water at night; the older dogs will be fine I promise you, along with the little one. They drink more than enough during the day. Take the puppy out every hour

@@Mookie908 I appreciate the input. I guess I can try and implement one and see how it goes.. I don’t believe in leaving the dogs in crates locked up for hours at a time.I want companions. Not prisoners lol

@@Aleksandra.DaGreat I understand. That’s where making your crate fun and interesting comes in part. Make it to where they enjoy going in because they know there’s toys. When they’re quiet while I’m the cage, praise them and give them a treat. When they’re whining for you, wait until they’re quiet and praise them. I promise you’ll get the companionship you desire, but the dog has to learn. They won’t resent you I promise, they’ll still be your best friend and give you all the love you give back.

Animals should have free access to water all the time. Never restrict water for this reason as this is a welfare concern and can do more harm than good.

@@Jaisha26 yes we watch the entire video and totally disagree. You want a healthy happy puppy or just for your convenience? When they are 8-9 weeks yes you may have to take them out every 45-60 mins.

Cut off water when???? Are you insane? Even the law a dog should have access to water and food all the time.

You sound stupid. You don’t give a dog access to water or food before bed 🤡 that’s how they use the bathroom inside the house and make a mess.
