I do agree with the home owner with your level of detail and NOT cutting corners. Today, most contractors are in to only make money and does not treat your project as their own.

You know the old saying- The easiest business to get is repeat business. Do a good job and people call you back in the future, no hesitation. Too many contractors get into a price war and drive their industry down, it's not the way to go.

I really like your videos. I like your personality in the videos. I think the customer interaction is nice. However your work speaks for itself and is not necessary for someone else to say how great it is. Some businesses need customers to be over excited for others to think the work is great. You are a true craftsman and it shows.

hey David. I think having the interview with homeowner is a good idea, if you can. I like how you had extra guys on hand for the finishing as you knew it would set off quick. I work in commericial construction and we are always under the gun, jobs are always pushed behind because we try to do a good job. you see companies across the board cheaping out and completing jobs fast. then the good guys come in and fix it. great vid

I like the interview with the homeowner. I'm currently having an addtion foundation built at my house, and it would be nice if the contractor was more engaged like you are! About cold joints; when I built basements, we only formed up a day or so after the footing was cured. Is it more common to have problems with a cold joint in a warmer climate like California? or do you always do monolithic pours (footing and foundation in one)? My favorite job of yours was the garage foundation/slab. Keep chasing those jobs, because I'm ready to watch them!

Love your videos!!! Keep up the great work you guys do. Have you attached patios with rebar to post tension foundations before or is this a process you never do due to the risk of damaging the cables.

I've never done that but I suppose its possible if you can locate where the cables come through on the outside of foundation.

I like the interaction bit, this one looked a bit fabricated but I guess with time you'll get better. it gives a human touch to the video, also I know this is a popular request but a compilation video with finished works after say 6/12 months would be great, to show how it looks after a while, just as an idea! OMG, you guys are the best! Very knowledgeable and skilled. I wish all the trades were like you guys. Just became a huge fan of you and your sons work. Excellent work! Come to Texas :) Question about this video. Where were the 4” drains pipes leading out to? Were they all connected together underneath the concrete? I’m trying to get similar concrete work done in my back patio extension (600 sq ft) and driveway extension (600 sq ft), just to get an idea, how much money should I be looking at in the TX area…approx? Can my contractor drill rebars into the back patio which is connected to the foundation of the house and connected them to the rest of the rebars? To prevent the new concrete from shifting up or down…thank you sir

Love the work! Without removing the sod, can one smother the grass with a tarp then pure the concrete directly on the dirt the following year or whenever all the grass is gone?

Love your idea of interacting with homeowners….some may be shy like me though but excellent if they are willing to do it. Also, what kind of drain pipe would you recommend under the concrete…perforated corrugated pipe, solid corrugated, solid pvc pipe..? Can the pipe sit underneath the concrete or separated with a layer of soil?
