Fantastic Video as Always!!! Question about California, or possibly about the LA area. Is it an ordinance to have masonry walls on property lines? It seems as if there is always a block wall around the houses your doing work at. I suspect its a fire barrier, but not being familiar with the west coast I am curious.

Found some free mid century limestone used in a shop in a historic part of a town to rescue. Thinking I'm going to pass since I can't find a use and isn't close enough to the Bedford I got. Hey David, looks great! My house has an (I think) original patio from 1950 extending off the back. It has larger rocks its it's not the modern style concrete pour. it looks like there was a pergola there or some kind of roof because there are square holes going down into the patio. So its just a large slab with huge rocks in it. I have no idea how deep it goes. I don't like it at all and want to get rid of it. Wish I could hire you!
@OdellCompleteConcrete
@OdellCompleteConcrete 3 жыл бұрын
Hard to say how deep it is unless you drill some holes, and check for reinforcing with a metal detector. If its solid and no cracking or movement maybe you could cover it with something.

Under the hard sun, cement, concrete, asphalt... absorbs the heat then expand. So it'd better to have room for them to expand, otherwise they will crack. Cutting line to create small room for the expansion. Same thing with bridges, you can see the metal parts crossing them. They serve the same purpose to prevent cracking in bridges that could lead to broken on the surface and inside.
