Full show notes: chatwithtraders.com/ep-004-nic... - - Here we are, the fourth episode of Chat With Traders and I’m joined by a special guest who has ridden many waves of the financial markets. Placing his first trade in 1985, Nick Radge was immediately hooked on the idea that one could profit from identifying trends.
Nick is here today to share some of the crucial lessons that have kept him in the game for almost 30 years. What I like most about this interview is Nick shines light on many areas of trading that are not often spoken about. I’ve briefly listed just a few of these lessons below, but listen to the full interview and discover how you can use these to become a sharper trader.'
===
Lessons Learnt in this Interview:
===
- Why trend followers should think like hitchhikers.
- The common misconception of professional traders. Why it is not necessary to make money every day, every week, every month to be profitable.
- Quantitative vs Qualitative - the significant topic that is rarely spoken, and could potentially keep you off the beginners cycle.
- How to know if (or when) your trading system is broken.
- The two areas new traders often find themselves in trouble. Although these are common problems, these might not be the answers you would expect.
- And much, much more…

Such a different view on trading . Whenever i have had a loosing month i always thought to myself that there’s obviously something that i m doing wrong cuz it could not be possible to trade for a month and still be in loss , until i realise its about process and not about short term results . Thanks for this podcast it completely changes my view 🖤🖤

Chat With Traders - hey , your work is so much appreciated . As a learner want to ask : about this understanding of strategies , is it to understand how the market is behaving and what strategy to apply? Like “fallowing the trend system” is not going to work for short term or day traders when the market moving sideways ? I would trade reversion system , which I found it less risky. That’s how I see it ... tell me if I am wrong please

Sites like profitly and etoro have some traders records; some of them are verified from their brokerage accounts. Traders from Investment Banks can't use their trading records from there to promote themselves due to a clause in their contracts.

Lol i was thinking the same thing. As a day trader you make so many trades a year. If your year is negative then you aren’t doing well..

31:20 So your core strategy is holding small caps for about 6 months..😅 yeah good luck with that. They are all crap companies that all go down overall. Small caps are for daytrading, not swing trading
