How to power your Raspberry Pi (MoBro)

In this video we’re gonna walk you through all the different ways you can power your Raspberry Pi. And since we’ve got asked about them a lot, we’re also taking a look at the firmware warning icons.
While we are focused on using the Pi for MoBro, the information on powering the Pi is universal and of course also applies for the official Raspberry Pi OS or any other available image.

I fried something yesterday because I had 15 V and around 4 A in a battery and it's a board for solar power. I guess I went over and it sparkled and smoked. Now I got 2 USB plugs more for something. Not too worried as it was below what I expected. Sort of working on a battery backup for a RPi 3B and decided on a charger later as well. A media case found on eBay is having great power, but I got 2 RPi 3B models already and it's all new to me. Got interested in the GPIO/electronics recently and I like programming.

What is the make/model of that stat display monitor on your PC build? I've seen things like the Asus ProArt Display PA147CDVI, but it's expensive for what I'd use it for and there's the Lukos as well (kickstarter). I can't seem to find anything else affordable like that and having a mini ultrawide is perfect for my project! Thank you.

So, the issue that I have with using power supplies isn't so much the voltage but the amps. When I want to power multiple sbc's with one psu. I can find a psu that gives the 3v, 5v and 12v is needed, but the amps are a mystery. How do I ensure that I get the 3A needed out of the psu?

I have a Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB attatged to a 10 inch touchscreen via 180 degree hdmi & usb adapters. So the touchscreen is powered by the raspberry pi via theese adapters. The screen has an extra power-connector. I don't know if i can use this connector because the screen is directly powerd by the 180 degree micro-usb adapter. When i don't use this adapter and power the screen via the extra power-connector then i don't get any display on the screen. So i must ust this adapter. I also have a m.2 sata3 drive in a usb case attadged to one of the usb3 ports as a bootdisk. I did try a mvme drive but that got very hot witch i don't like. This sata3 drive stays nice cool. I want to run Klipper on the pi with the touchscreen for my 3D printer. The problem is that the screen is flickering and the speaker of the touchscreen makes a ratteling sound. It sounds like if a damaged harddisk trying to seek data witch he cannot find. I think that the powersupply (original pi, 5v 3A) is not enough to power the screen and m.2 drive. How much ams should i use for the pi, screen and m.2 and maybe a keyboard/mouse? What is the max amps you can use safely on the Raspberry Pi 4B? Can you give me some links to good powersupplies with more then 3 amps for the Raspberry Pi 4B? Thank you

You could try to use the new official Raspberry Pi power supply that was released alongside the Pi 5. That one now goes up to 5A. But i've personally never used a screen and external drive both powered by the Raspberry Pi, so I can not guarantee that this will work.

The graphics card could need some support, looks a bit unmotivated ;)

Having huge issues with the Pi 4B and low voltage. The only answer .. the factory supply. USB wall units will not work as you will get under voltage issues and your Pi may just reboot as mine did.
