How to powerup Shanoa in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

In HoD, both Shanoa's weapons and spells increase in power solely by leveling up her hunter glyphs. All of her spells either drop from bosses and/or hard purple chests.

shanoa feels like a hybrid of soma/charlotte. but with a ton more movement ability. really hard to level up imho tho. her mellee kinda sucks early on. but her ignis is great early on. absolutely roasting big enemies and even bosses.

a little bit of advice, the music is really loud and kinda overpowers your voice at times. if it were turned down a little it would help alot. all that aside though great video, very straight-forward

Witches (the ones that should attack you with the 3 glyphs) are only doing ignis and grando to me! No way i can get them to do the 3rd lighting attack. It seems each of them always do the exact glyph, im on chapter 2 and i always get the same 1 ignis and 3 grando witches. Am i doing smth wrong? Is this how its supposed to be?

No. She's supposed to give it. I have no idea why the one in Ch2 isn't cooperating. There is another one in chapter 4, close to the beginning and one more in chapter 5. Hopefully they will give you the Fulgur.

To fail the stage just hold all the buttons down on the controller. So your 4 buttons plus the R1L1/R2L2 or RBLB/RTLT depending on your controller.

Which character is the best to play for this game ?

I hate to give this answer but it depends on the type of character you want to play or the type of character you are good at playing. Obviously some are always stronger than others. If you are first starting, it's difficult to decide since most start weak and don't get stronger until later. Others begin kindof okay and may rise from there but only if you have good weapons and armor. Some bosses are just easier with certain characters but (for me) that experience varies from boss to boss and difficulty level. All the characters do require some sort of grind whether its for abilities, weapons or both. Just a little time played is enough to help you decide which character is for you. If you don't like how a character plays, then just choose someone else. You do not have to max them out to make this determination.

I have had the worst rng when it comes to Globus and Acerbatus, lol. I've been using a Sinestro and Lapiste (don't have Dextro yet) and don't have thief rings. Apparently Acerbatus has a low star rarity so having low luck is better? Idk how this game works xD Edit: I only mention the luck thing cuz that's bout all the info I could find online, and no one seems to agree which is better for farming it, so who knows.

Luck has always been a point of contention for this game. My opinion is for things she can get from Purple chests, luck should help but for Boss Gold chests, its pure RNG. That being said, my experience has also been Luck also help filters out the possibility or getting low star items from bosses. I don't have any way of confirming it though. Just because it's been my experience doesn't mean it will apply to anyone else.

@@missreece.channel Since I made this comment I actually managed to get all her gear finally :D was farming pretty hard, haha. All my buddy is missing is the holy veil and he's done with her gear as well
