Haven't listened to this video yet but what comes to me is that as awareness you are already unattached. Abide as that and be free.

In the teachings of the Buddha, wisdom does arise, Three characteristics, profound and wise. Let me weave them in verses, clear and true, Impermanence, suffering, and non-self, I'll share with you. Impermanence, the dance of life's embrace, Like shifting sands, it leaves no trace. From dawn to dusk, and season to season, All things change, without rhyme or reason. Flowers bloom, then fade away, As night turns to dawn, and day to gray. With every breath, moments fleet, Impermanence reminds us, life is sweet. Suffering, the noble truth we face, In trials and tribulations, we find our place. From physical pain to the ache within, Suffering weaves a thread, where all begin. Attachments bind, desires give birth, Yet suffering teaches, the depths of our worth. Through compassion's embrace, we find release, In understanding suffering, our hearts find peace. Non-self, the illusion of a separate "me", A profound teaching that sets us free. No fixed identity, no soul to claim, We're but a ripple in the cosmic game. Connected we are, in this grand tapestry, No separate self, just interdependency. Non-self reveals unity's sweet embrace, As we let go, we find our place. Impermanence, suffering, and non-self, In these teachings, the Buddha's wisdom dwells. Through understanding, compassion takes flight, Guiding us towards liberation's light. So let us contemplate these truths profound, In each moment's whisper, let their essence resound. With wisdom and love, let our hearts unfurl, Embracing impermanence, suffering, and non-self in this precious world.

Well, the psychologists always say, that we human beings need to belong to a social group, ex family or friend....As I have grown older, I do not have husband , children or any blodfamily left..I have drawn from having a partner, because I alway was dissappointed with those I had...4 years ago my personal situation was horrible and I listend to Echkart Tolle; he also speaks about nonattachment...Have been lonely/alone for many years now..No friends for many years...7 years ago, I befriended a family, who adopted me ! I got grandchildren !...The grown ups do not speak any of my two languages very well..But anyway, we see each other maybe every week and help each other with this and that....but I often get this very bellyacking feeling, that they do not NEED me ! And this is my nagging feeling al day today ! I am 70', know what is going on inside...But I still need someone to talk to about life once in a while and that need has piled up now ! Do You understand, Alex ?

Loneliness can be challenging. Non-attachment may still mean there is a felt pull toward social connection and sure there must be some way to get that in your life.

Amazing video. I understand the concept. However, I fear my subconscious has deep rooted claws into attachment- particularly security.

Is it possible to do this while having bpd? It seems impossible since the whole disorder is based around fear of abandonment which is engraved in the suffers brain. How would you suggest undoing this fear or quasi curing it ?
@AlexShailer Жыл бұрын
Yes I believe it's possible. Heal the trauma. Maybe find someone to help you. I don't specifically deal with BPD but I could take a look if you like

Not very helpful, I have to say, because if sb (like me) isn't consciously 'there' yet, then theoretical knowledge isn't much help. It's a useful pointer in a good direction, but how to practice/cultivate / move towards this awareness is the question

How is this possible in a relationship, to care and not care and with not caring how is that going to look like to your partner…

You can care be considerate but not attached. No one can complete you. They can only compliment your energy. Being attached indicates you need the other person to give you something you can’t give yourself. To feel free within oneself is the key.
