Prepping render before painting is vital, and it is important to understand the process. Be it filling imperfections, patching the render, cleaning, and of course, the painting.

Great Video 👍 Question: my house at the (front) is a concrete breeze blocked with rendered on it. What type of black paint would you use at buttom of the house? Bitumen or something else. Thanks Mark

Emperor masonry paint is not a silicate, it's a silicone also they do their own primer. Why would you not use their complete system?

I think your video is great. However. Would it not be easier just to knock the render off and either re render or better still just paint the bricks

Do you use peel stop on newly rendered walls and first painting or just repairs?

only when a surface needs stabilising. Sound render should be fine

@@decoratorsforumuk9036 cheers mucker. Just finished my DIY sand cent rendering. Checking out the Emporer paint now as I worry about breathability and damp.
