Last year I had to take a FO technician job, I had no choice, is this or flip burguers in a fast food restaurant, I don't realy like this job, I am a computer engineer but passing my 40s, very hard to find a job at my age, but one of the first things I learned about this is to always leave buffer slack, I have seen cases where the cores are broken in the tray and you require to strip more buffer, this is a serious problem with enclousures that use thermal seals.

What brand of case are you using? I've used those gel end plates of FOSC closures. The best they came out with. Easy to install and easy to reenter if adding additional cables. Doesn't require a heat gun or heat shrink.

Those are made by CommScope and by far the best enclosures in my opinion to re enter and work with!!! The heat gun ones are ancient technology 😆

Watching carefully, a 144 feed cable vs a 48 lateral cable, but just the orange& blue are getting fused with the yellow & black carriers? All else are intact? So, total fused will be the 12 orange feed fibers to the 12 yellow? And the 12 blue fibers to the 12 black?

Yes it was only 24 burns total feeding the side road. If i had to guess would be about 12-15 houses down the road with the rest being spares for future houses. You were definitely paying attention💯✌️

What is the total length you cut out on your ring cut for a D case?

Usually 12-16 feet depending on the fiber count...higher count 12 ft, lower count 16 ft
