thank you for this video. do you have recommendations on how an extrovert software engineer w/ a prior background in retail sales can pivot into sales engineering? who can i reach out to at companies?

My recommendation is the same for almost anybody. Build your network, connect with SEs, SE Managers, and AEs within your company and outside. Start building relationships and open yourself up to opportunities.

@@WeTheSalesEngineers unfortunately my company doesn’t have any of those positions, what is the most ideal way to message ppl on LinkedIn? Is it better to be honest and tell them I’m trying to make the career pivot and ask for help or approach it a different way?
