I took a random mock and scored 70.5 but the next time i took it kind of decrease to 62 QA and DILR hardly any of them i did..but VARC was strong.. what are the further steps that i can do to improve

- Bharath's Reading List - Newspapers - Hindu, Indian Express, TOI - International newspapers & magazines - Guardian, Economist, The Atlantic, New York Times etc. - Good blogs - Non Fiction - Fiction - Aeon These are all good sources. Mix and match and do leisure reading for 1 hour everyday. Best wishes!

Hey Vaibhav, Taking CAT 2022 as a reference point, a raw score of around 15 gets you to the 90th percentile. Which translates to 1 set - all correct. If you can stretch hard and get 2 sets correct - which is 10Qs, all correct, you're looking at 99th percentile already. Focus on set selection, reducing the amount of time it takes to solve a set - and solve as many as sets you can! Best Wishes!

Of course it is, Make sure you utilize the remaining time for CAT prep. Reduce the time you spend on sleep, etc during weekdays and maximize your CAT prep during weekends. Use your weekends wisely. How many mocks would u suggest in a week from July for a person who is done with arithmetic and algebra in quant...and did the basics in dilr???

Hi Rahul. Mocks are not really dependent on how much curriculum one has completed. Everyone should start mocks now irrespective of their level of prep if not already. At least 2 in July is required! Each mock should be thoroughly analysed. If you can give more than 2 with full analysis in July, that is even better. 3 mocks would be great.

Start with Arithmetic, followed by algebra and geometry. That's the usual prep strategy for most of the aspirants since it also preps you for the topics that follow in a linear fashion. As far as how much time to spend is concerned, spend as much time as possible. The exam is hardly 4 months away - put in all your efforts. Best Wishes!

How many hours should I prepare a day, I started preparing 2 days ago. Currently I'm learning for 5-6 hours a day cause my maths is damn weak and 90% of the time goes in QA itself

At the beginning of your CAT prep, more time gets naturally invested in QA 'cause the syllabus is vast. Ensure you read an article/novel/newspaper or something for at least 40mins - 1hr everyday to ensure your reading comprehension skills improve. Your current streak of 5-6 hrs a day is fine assuming you're a working professional. Best Wishes!

I feel it difficult managing work and Cat but according to the 400 hrs requirement, I think around 2-2.5 hrs are enough, and good enough if you can stretch it upto 3 hrs

There's no hard and fast rule to how many hours you are putting in for your CAT prep. That said, it goes without saying that you spend 1 hour everyday on reading - be it novels, articles, etc. Bharath's Reading List is an amazing free resource for CAT aspirants to develop reading skills. Excluding this 1 hour reading, create a weekly/monthly schedule for yourself to ensure you have a direction and a plan to complete the syllabus and mocks. Plan it according to your work schedule. Most CAT aspirants (working professionals) either sit down till late in the night post office, or wake up early to study. Try to take out at least 3 - 4 hours per day if possible on weekdays and stretch as much as possible during weekends. Like Rajesh sir told in the video, have a separate track for mocks whilst preparing for the exam. Start off on mocks ASAP to build your prep strategy from there. Hope this helps. Best Wishes!
