HOW TO PREPARE FOR ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION AUDIT?

In order to prepare for ISO 9001 certification audit, the organization has to take certain steps in predetermined sequence: Familiarize with ISO 9001 Standard, Perform Gap Analysis, Determine the Scope of the QMS, Determine Required Processes, Develop QMS Documentation , Train Personnel and Implement QMS Documentation, Establish Quality Objectives and Key Performance Indicators, Plan and Perform Internal Audit Activities, Conduct Corrective Actions and Improvement Initiatives, Perform Data Analysis, Complete Management Review and Perform Readiness Review.

What is the main purpose of your department? What do you need to achieve in order to get there? I'd ask these questions and establish related objectives in accordance with the quality policy.
