Any A2 student awaiting their results. My offer was AAA for BA English at Kings College London last year. I got AAC and still got in ! fast forward to the first day of uni and we were discussing how people got in with BBC/AAB/ABC/AAC. Imagine all that stress for nothing. Russel group unis are all talk until results day TRUST ME. Think about it like this, who's paying who 9 grand? Last year English, geography, chemistry, computer science, nursing (adult/children/mental health), maths, music,computing, war studies e.t.c was in clearing. This is just a heads up for anyone who's got an offer from KCL and are worried about their results : )

Nabaya I have an offer of AAA for kings college London to study Politics. However I am extremely worried as I don't think I will get an A in Biology. If I do have to go through clearing I am not sure what to do, who to phone, where I get the phone number from etc. Would you be able to offer some advice please?

Having discussed A2 grades with people on my course and other courses i am 92% that KCL will give you leeway on results day. If you managed to get AAB - with the B in Biology they will let you in! What surprised me the most was my friend got a B in her A level English (overall grades ABC) and she was let in to study BA English even though she had to get an A in English. If worst comes to worst and you do not get either one of these combos - AAC/AAB/ABB, QMUL was in clearing for politics last year , my friend got in with CCD. You need to be infront of your home phone as soon as results come out. You google the Unis clearing number (The list of the courses on clearing come out the day before on the unis website ) - kings had about 15 courses on clearing last year. And also the results do not come out at the designated time, they normally appear 30 minutes earlier so the system does not break down - keep on refreshing the UCAS page. Wish you all the best with your results and if you have any more questions please ask : )

I'm so ridiculously nervous for my GCSE results - I had stuff going on during my exams and sobbed through basically every exam. I was getting consistent 9s in English in mocks, but completely messed up in my real exam and just know that my result in the only subject I love is worse than I want it to be. I'm gutted :-(

Hey ibz! Your intros actually give me life omgggg!!!! Also I've got a q... I've got fairly good GCSEs all A*s and As but I'm in AS year this year. I've had a p bad year and was a bit ill before my exams. I got some special consideration but my AS grades aren't as good as they could have been (AAD) I'm hoping to apply to Cambridge. Do you think I could get to interview even if my grades aren't as good as they would have been if I hadn't been so ill/ had family members pass away last year. hi i think i might be able to help! given your good GCSE track record and you still got 2 As (well done!!) i reckon you have a shot. when you apply to camb, you fill out another mini application called the SAQ and i'm fairly sure there's options there to include any extra information you want to tell the ppl reviewing your app. i applied with 3*s 7As at GCSE and AAAC at AS and i've got an offer for PBS at Downing so if i can do it with those sorts of grades, i'd say you can. best of luck for the future and remember you'll never know if u don't apply!! ((:

what I did last year cos i wasn't really sure about my grade in biology was that I expected the worse and on the week of results day, i went to universities websites found the clearing number and the available subjects and looked at the one that suited my grades the most and what I wanted to do and I wrote them down on a piece of paper ready for results day just so all the numbers are there and available for you! I need 3 C's to get into Brighton this year, and I told myself if I didn't get in, I wouldn't go through clearing; I'd just retake and try again next year. Now I'm not sure that's such a good idea but Brighton is honestly the only place I want to go.
