Rene’ Schultz I have the same issues. I forget the thoughts I have and can’t find a way to articulate what I want to say. But I’ve been doing practice podcasts of just recording myself to be comfortable. So when I interview my first person I’ll be more comfortable

This isn’t helpful. My interviewees haven’t done other podcasts before so what am I supposed to use as a reference?

Coach them during the pre-interview. Let them know how the show is going to go, what your first question is going to be (it acts as a cue) and reassure them that it’s your job to set them up for success with your questions. I hope this helps :)

When it comes to newbie guests I always do a 15 minute pre-meeting to ease their nerves and help them go through the content we'll be covering. Another thing I do is put together a pre-recording in-take form. It's 10 short questions that asks the guests what topics they really want to cover, which they don't and if there's any other important info I should know. I've found you never know until you ask! And it's helpful to know more before getting on the interview.

Use keywords in your niche, niche down in your niche and search the name in iTunes to make sure it hasn’t been taken yet. I hope this helps :)

Hi .. great video. one fundamental doubt. do you prefer sending the questions in advance to the person you are interviewing? Pros : this helps them in having a refined answer and not come back later saying, oh I had a better answer for it. Cons : if it is a question about them as a human, then they can 'manufacture' the answer to suit their image and persona. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm finding a lot of good people to interview, more or less im confused if what I'm doing is a podcast or an interview. Or are they the same in a way? Would love some advice. Thanks for making this video.

Oh okay. The people i was talking to made me doubt myself. Say maybe you'd like to be on ours and give the audience some advice you wish you knew before you started podcasts. We're just beginning so it would be a big learning experience for us.

There's so many different formats to podcasts there's never one way to do it! I've seen a mixture of things. . . . some people do interview + long formatted conversations. And some even do 15 minute quick tip episodes. It's really up to you and what feels most comfortable. And maybe even ask your listeners what they prefer!

Did u get the other podcaster's permission to use his video? It must be quite hurtful for him that u show this.
