Awesome video! Do you mind sharing your timeline in regards to how long you were putting out content before you began the presale process? Also, I remember you said you started out blogging/writing articles. How long were you doing that before you added in KZfaq? As a busy mom, I feel like I’m moving at a glacial pace just trying to build my website during nap time here and there. Each added platform is so much work! Lol. I’m wondering what is realistic.

Love all the videos in this series. Though the process is easy and great to follow, the tools mentioned aren't all free. Throughout the series tools like: Drip, MailChimp, Zapier, Crowdcast, Demio, Calendly, Teachable, Thinkific, Slack, Circle.so, Discord. Are all these tools free?? As a beginner, I'd prefer free tools to create and sell courses. Any suggestions??

Hey Daniel! Glad that you’re enjoying them. Sticking to free tools will probably add a lot more headaches and take a lot more time, but it may be possible. For example, Google forms + Google sheets to build your mailing list, Google Meets to host webinars, free Slack to host your community, Gmail to send emails, and I’m not sure for the course itself…maybe some of these course tools have free plans with higher percentages that they take from sales? Regardless, you’ll probably want to transition to paid tools fairly soon after starting to save you a lot of time and $ in the long run.

Sorry, I'm not Devlin. But I hope my answer will get him to chime in with his. I have never heard of a test (for graphics) turning out well. I'm cobbling together my own group experience and here's why. 1) People decide in a few minutes who they like and will most likely hire. No test is going to turn that around. 2) You can't defend why you did what you did. If you get the job, you can do it the way they like it. 3) Is it a real project? Will it take more than an hour? If they don't value your time, that's a red flag. 4) I have never been told by anyone that they got a job after taking a test. I politely offer to do a freelance project in place of a test. That gives them skin in YOUR game. I have never gotten a "OK" from them. Push past the test people. It's hard to pass it up when you need the work, but it's time better spent looking. My last refusal to take a test/offer to freelance turned into a second interview anyway. I knew someone in the company who confided they were not finding people willing to take it. It was also a full day. Don't be that person.
