Believe me this $5 trick happened with me too. A guy was standing near my car smoking cigarette and I hopin my car I saw $5 bill stuck in wiper blade. Then I saw guy smoking cigarette in side mirror. So instead of getting out of car to grab $5 bill, I drove off to next block and then grabbed my prize. I know the guy smoking cigarettes got pissed off.

I had to explain to her she was begging to be murder, raped, kidnapped, or robbed, Maybe all of the above. Slowly she is learning to be more aware. In case you missed my interview last night with ABC News Nightline about ways to prevent car jacking, here it is. We went through several ways that car jackers use, like the "Bump" where they tap your car, you get out and they overwhelm you - Have your keys ready, get in the car, lock your doors and drive away - even when it's cold out - which didn't make the cut. Always be aware of your surroundings.
@r.harlansmith24429 жыл бұрын
Joseph Giacalone Is it legal to shoot someone who tries to hijack your car?
@TrueCrimeWithTheSarge9 жыл бұрын
They would have to look at the circumstances-I.e. Suspect is armed and the victim is reasonable fear of his / her life. In most jurisdictions, using deadly physical force to protect property only is never justified. A criminal lawyer however I'm not, so maybe we can find one to weigh in on it.
@r.harlansmith24429 жыл бұрын
Nello Jennings I don't want to kill him, just fill him full of regret. I'm more concerned with the _permanent_ loss of my vehicle. All legal fees are exhorbitant and will exceed the value of my car, even if it's brand new. I suggest a hidden secondary ignition switch (toggle) and to walk away quickly after you give him your keys.
@r.harlansmith24429 жыл бұрын
Nello Jennings I'll not pursue it to that depth. I'm just making an inquiry. I don't own a car. I'm writing a Western at present where horse thieves are hung. Nowadays, car thieves are given a slap on the wrist. The contrast is interesting to me.

I was almost car jacked last week. I backed into a parking spot at a park n ride, a white ford truck pulls up and blocks the front of my truck. The guy rolls his window down holding a knife and mouthing the words "You're dead" at me. Two guys try opening my doors from the outside, but since i lock my doors while driving they couldnt get in. I throw it in reverse, hear a loud "THUD!" and screaming, cut my wheels to the right, throw it in Drive, and stomp on the gas, i made it around the truck, and got the hell out of there.
