Our RV had been sitting up for several years under shelter, Looks like a brand new however could not get the water to go through the city water line or the water pump. pump would come on but not push through the lines. Took the pump apart and checked the diaphragm that can get stook. It pushed in and out just like it was supposed to. checked the rubber to make sure there were no cracks or dirt. they were none, put back together, Then checked the pump filter where the water comes into the pump for cracks, My wife found a crack in the clear plastic cover. We replaced it but that was not the main problem. When I seen your video and how easy you primed the pump, I attempted the same method, IT WORKED! Water now comes out of all areas with good pressure . one thing, after reconnecting the incoming live to the pump make sure you have a rubber washer inside the connection. or it will leak.. Thanks for the video! We got our water pump working again in just a couple of minutes. We thought we were going to have to replace it, this is a great solution.

Good video. So many others are simply unbolting and replacing pump. Priming is the trick in getting a new pump to actually work. Safe boondocking travels and thanks for the practical vid.

So I watched a video on another youtube channel on how to fix the water pump. I did what he said and the pump motor started working but still no water through the pipes. I brought up YOUR video and WELLAH!!! It worked!! THANK YOU!!!

Absolute life savers. Just managed to prime our pump and we now have water. Woo hoo! Thank you for sharing. All we need now is to work out why the boiler isn't heating the water. Hey ho...

I’m glad that we could help with the water pump. Lol as far as the boiler lol do what I do when I don’t know how to do something. Look it up on KZfaq. I'm lost. Tried priming multiple times did good but still loses prime I guess. I have city water with good pressure but it's still not going through. I do appreciate the help

That is great to hear! I will admit that at first it is a little discouraging when it doesn’t work right away. But it beats calling someone to replace it. I’m glad that this video was of help to you. Our pump is lower than 2/3's of our fresh water tank so no prime needed. Our class c is 10 years old and we just had to replace the pump a week ago when i lost pressure in the middle of a shower but found it spraying out the bottom of the pump so no trouble shooting needed. The replacement was one someone had recommended on Amazon and its so quiet i can't hear it. Okay I'm old and might need hearing aids 😢

I am using “Google Translate” Could you write me where you place the water with the funnel in which hoses are you putting the water? I am going through this problem and it has not been resolved for a long time. I have a food truck.

You pour the water in the “in going” line

Or straight into the filter. Remove the cap and pour water in there. Basically where ever water goes in that’s where you want to pour it.

Silly question I have air in my lines but I am alone am I going to be able to turn my pump on and do this with just me holding the hose etc. ?

Yes you will be it will just take longer to prime.

I’m hoping that you could perhaps help me. First thank you for the video. Second I live in my RV and I have for many years. There were a couple years where I used the pump exclusively and then about six years ago I moved into an RV park and get city water. Unfortunately, after the freeze this past winter, my waterline straight from the city stopped bringing water in. Obviously, I made sure that the connections were good and water was coming through the hose. I am very much not mechanically inclined, nor do I own tools and I’m old and disabled so when I couldn’t find the right buzzwords to search for this problem, I decided to go back to using my pump. Now all of a sudden after using it for the last couple of months, it has started to spit and sputter, while at the same time the pump sound is louder and lasts for 15 to 20 secs. So now I have that turned off and I’m having to pack water to my house. I absolutely cannot afford to get someone out to look at it or replace the pump so my question is, do you have any ideas or suggestions as to why the water would not come through from the direct line even though at the time it worked fine coming through Via pump? Please help. 🥺

The only thing I can think of without know what type of unit you have, my mother in law has a C class, on her unit she has valves that direct where the water comes from and where it goes. Maybe the valves aren’t in the right position.

@@GFamForLife thank you for responding. I only just now saw that you did. I ended up figuring out what the problem was with my pop. Now my biggest issue still is just wishing that the water would come in straight from the city water so that I wouldn’t have to use my pump.again I don’t know what sort of buzzwords to use to search and figure out what on earth would make my water just stop coming in. If you happen to have personal knowledge of something like that, or could offer me a buzz words, I would be greatly appreciative.

@tameshaluis9147 there should be a connection on the outside of your rig that says city water hook up. That’s what ours says on the outside, and that bypasses the pump and hooks directly into our waterlines.

@@tameshaluis9147 If you're connected to city water, then you don't need to use your water pump because the system is already pressurized. You may want to have a pressure regulator valve connected to your hose that brings city water into your rv though. Sometimes the city water pressure can be very strong and you run the risk of it blowing apart connections in your rv, etc. The pressure relief valve, to my understanding, just helps dampen that pressure so the aforementioned stuff doesn't happen :) They are cheap but most likely worth it in my opinion. Like GFam said though, there should be a city water connection on your RV so you don't have to "boondock" and use your pump and water from your storage tank. Good luck.
