So let's talk about the real reason Jeep Wranglers leak..
The real reason Jeep Wranglers leak is surprisingly simple... They only have a rubber seal on the door side of the vehicle.
Let me explain what I mean.
If you open your Jeep Wrangler you'll notice a rubber seal around the perimeter of the door. When you close the door that rubber seal comes in direct contact with the body or door frame. You might think that it is perfectly normal and don't see an issue with that but if you open the door of any other vehicle in the world you'll notice that both the door and the body have rubber gaskets.
Don't believe me??
Go and check your grandma's 1989 Ford Taurus and I bet even she's got them on both sides.
Why is that important? Well, it's simple. When the two gaskets touch they allow the door and the body to form a complete, watertight seal. This seal successfully keeps water from entering the car's cabin through compression and also redirection.
Simply said, the gaskets are pressed tightly together making it hard for water to penetrate and they also act as a sort of slide or gutter system that the water travels on until it exits on the EXTERIOR of the car.
Makes sense doesn't it?
Well... Not to Jeep.
For whatever reason, they still haven't grasped that simple concept.
So how do you fix this problem?
That's right you guessed it... Add a seal to the body side of your Jeep.
Now that we've identified the root cause of the problem it's time to attack your Jeep with a logical solution.
ADDING A BODY SIDE SEAL
Many KZfaq videos suggest using products found at Home Depot made of a foam-like material with an adhesive backing.
Don't do it.
While this might seem like a quick cheap fix, it is obviously not the answer.
How do I know?
For starters, I've tried it.
Secondly, foam flattens when compressed making it a terrible candidate for the whole compression principle. It also absorbs water which will eventually make its way into the cabin of your vehicle.
Lastly, if foam was such an ideal material why would every automobile manufacturer elect to use rubber when producing their gaskets?

What we are trying to accomplish is not stopping the water..
