Seems like every YT video on this subject has a different procedure. On my 2021 BMW X3 30e, your procedure is the only one that worked. So, for that, I say thank you very much!

I attempted this years ago and it didn’t work but I did it today and boom. It worked. I missed the step. I had the advanced setting.

For Newer garage door opener, You need a Repeater. None of the procedures above worked. Tried many many times. Got the repeater and works now.

It never flashes fast for me when I press the opener button and the button in car at the same time. I have e38

Hmm? Your unit might be bad or the batteries on your remote might be weak

@@ARPerez my unit is fine. I was using it in my last house not even a few months ago and it worked fine. Also the remote is new with new batteries. I think I just need a repeater since my door opener is new. There might be a difference in frequency.
