It's a 50/50 thought that changing your temp a lot saves money. Many people I have talked to in the industry have told me that keeping your temp at a constant temp is the best and most cost-effective way to save on your heating bill. They are NOT big fans of programable ones. The exception is if you are leaving for an extended period of time. Then you can reduce the temp to a safe level and press "HOLD". Now, with that being said, I like to sleep with the temp set at a cooler temp. So, I do use the programable feature for that purpose. I don't know how much you save either way, but my sleeping comfort is more important to me than the cost.

It would have been helpful if you could explain what exactly the “wake”, “sleep”, “leave”, “return” functions are intended for, especially in the context of time & temp. What does “sleep” on M-F for 70 degrees F mean?

I see on the list of days I have shown Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Friday and then I hit the right arrow and it goes to Thursday, how do I delete that so it goes back to showing Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

I need to program mine for 70 degrees at 4am and once it hits 70, to shut off. I don't want it to run after that and keep it at 70. I understand the temp may change naturally depending on the weather and I'm OK with that. Do you know if that's possible?

Question. It says cool setting. I set it to 71 degrees. But I want heat. Does cool mean the air Conditioning will come on? It's coming up on winter. My house gets cold. I hate getting up at 3am to turn the heat on. If I follow your instructions. I did Mon-Friday 345am 71 degrees. Does that mean heat will come on if my temperature at 344am is 50 degrees? Thanks,

To my knowledge, the hold keeps it at it's current temp which can be annoying

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're going crazy trying to figure out how to change the Day, and Time. You have to pull the thermostat off the wall for 10 seconds, to restart it. The instructions are not clear about this.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buyer beware, Honeywell thermostats keep your house within 1 degree temperature, they don't advertise it in any way I have found, that causes your heater and ac to cycle a lot, when it turns on, not only does it use more energy then when it's already running, it puts much more wear on your pump and motor, I had to talk to one of their techs to find this out! In the long run you pay a lot more in bills! All these people spending all this time to find out it's factory like that. I loved it other than that! Taking it back though!

I think this is the hokiest thermostat I've ever seen. It's so complicated and this video showed me absolutely nothing. It still goes to the default temp of 62. Really! All I want to do is set it and forget it. That's it. Not all this complicated shit.
