This video shows your how-to program your Toyota HomeLink garage door opener. The first portion explains both steps, without a rolling code and with a rolling code!
Confused, don't be! This is a very simple 2-minute video that shows both steps. Once you complete it a single time, you'll know how to do it for every Toyota vehicle!

Thanks I was ready to scream after trying the instructions in the manual for over an hour. It was not clear that we needed to do both sequences for the remote and the learn . Maybe I'll learn how to actually read one of these days vs relying on KZfaq to save me. Great job!

Thank you for these instructions. I found you need to follow this to the step, and clearing the memory seemed to be an important step which some Toyota instructions left out. The other key part of this is the light colors. If you don’t see those flashing to match this video it will not work. Thanks again.

This also works for USa. The key thing to note here which I found other guides don't explicitly mention is that this is a two-step process, where step 2 is only required if you have a rolling course setup. Previously I kept factory resetting between step one, and step two which requires pressing learn on your garage lift.

It's funny, the USA instructions didn't work at all with the Toyotas in my family and our rolling code door. Watched this video and decided to give the Canadian instructions a shot. Both cars were paired in under 2 minutes

I tried every combination without using the handheld remote -- no deal. The ONLY way it worked was by using the handheld remote to initially program the Homelink button (which was not sufficient because my Genie opener has rolling codes), then using the opener "LEARN' function to complete the process. Now all good.

Works in the US.**** Please note, the Learn button on the wall opener probably isn’t going to work for pairing, it needs to be the one on the actual opener.

Did anyone get the amber light trying to program a rolling code with the learn button? I pressed the two outside buttons on the Tacoma to clear it until it flashed green. Then I pressed the learn button on the garage opener, it’s indicator light flashed. Back at the Tacoma I press the opener button and get amber not flashing green like in this video.

Press & hold the two outside buttons until you get a rapid green. Once that is done, press the button you'd like to program once. Then press the garage door opener next to it, repeating until the LED changes from orange to rapid green again. Then, go press LEARN on your opener. Go back to the vehicle and press the button you'd selected again and again until the door opens!

My 2018 Camry does not connect , after I press de code button , the light doesn’t turn green and it’s not rapidly flashing , it just blink like the first thing you did with the remote

If you don't have a 'LEARN' button on your garage door opener, it likely is not a 'rolling code' version and step #1 in the video should work for you! If not, the button may be called something different on your opener (PROGRAM, CODE, etc.) Good luck!

Thanks for the instructions but, the music is too loud. Adjust the mix or lose it in the future. Not EVERYONE is 19 years old and needs music to remain interested! :)
