This basically worked. For anyone with an overhead, the brand garage door opener, the last step requires two people. You hit the program button on the motor unit but you have to hold the button down while someone else hits the button in the Jeep for two seconds. Otherwise this was perfect. Thanks so much for the video!!!

Worked thank you, I had a hard time at first, didn't have the jeep on lol I didn't have a learn button mine was a program button that I was scared to press like it was going to shut the whole thing down. But I finally got the courage to press the button and run to the jeep and it works. Thank you Sir.

I can't get pass step 2. My wrangler and garage button never syncs and the wrangler never blink fast to. I'm able to reset but after that I can't get pass next step to program the button

I tried each way explained in the video and can’t get mine to work? Multiple times. Have a geenie garage door opener. Any suggestions??

Did you clear your garage door buttons before you started? Hold the fist and last button until it blinks rapidly. Also are you parked in front of the garage NOT in the garage then it wouldn’t work. Also make sure your vehicle is on the run position so the Garage door buttons have power.

Where’d you get the handheld garage door opener? Do you have to have a handheld one with a newer garage door opener?

The garage door opener was one I picked up from Lowes. You have to program the hand held remote to the button in Jeep then you will have the button in the jeep learn the code in the garage if that makes sense 🤔

@@Eightytwomedia that does make sense. Was curious if that specific one came with the jeep. I’ve seen a couple videos with the exact same handheld opener. Do you need to leave that handheld opener in the jeep in order for it to open/close? Or is it unnecessary to keep in jeep? I just got a 2018 jeep yesterday and I’m learning the features.

This method is only if you have the handheld opener. I apologize I’m not sure what the work around is if you don’t have have it.

1. Pull the vehicle in front of the Garage 2. Make sure vehicle is powered on 3. Clean the buttons out. Hold the 1st & 3rd button until it blinks rapidly 4. Hold the whatever button you choose to open the garage door down. While holding it down press and hold your garage door remote up to the button until the light flashes rapidly. 5. Next jump out of vehicle run and press the LEARN button on the garage door motor inside your garage 6. Run back to the vehicle you have less than a minute to do this part. Jump in the vehicle and press on the button you just programmed. Press it wait a second press again until you see the garage door moving. 7. You’re done 👏🏻 hope this helps let me know

Make sure the Jeep is on the “run” position. The jeep needs power for the Garage door opener to have power and work.

Same but mine worked when i held down garage door opener remote and button on visor until it blinked fast. Then pressed the “Set/Learn” button on the garage door opener machine itself and then held down same button on jeep visor until garage door moved🙌🙌🙌

Step 1, grab some oily rags, newspaper, matches & a gallon of gas Step 2, burn that POS Heep to the ground. Step 3, feel confident that you put an unreliable hunk of junk down that was made even more unreliable by becoming a Fiat product.
