This is one of Ford's best universal feature. I literally made a decision to buy a car over another car brand as both cars were both in good condition but because I have had vehicles in the past with it I understood how valuable atleast to me this feature is. The G.M. car I was thinking about even had 10k less miles. One of the top 10 reason I prefer Ford .

Thank you for this video!! I have a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Executive that the security keyless bar has the 5&1 wore off because that's the code-51551. One morning, I went to back out my driveway & noticed the hood was unlatched.🤔?? I didn't do that last night, but I remember someone was outside, talking loud in front of my house. I figured that this scoundrel went to pushing the 5&1 until the door lock popped open, he pulled the hood release, but didn't open the hood. My fiance& I were having a "loud discussion"😒 which I think scared the thief away. So now I'm paranoid about someone knowing my door code, open the hood, and mess with the engine, that I want to change the code now. I have the owner's manual and repair book for my car. Now with them & your video, I can change it now!!☺️Thank you so much!!

Wow!!! Sir, I can't thank you enough for making this video. I had to go to your other video on how to find the 5 digit code. I followed your instructions to the letter. The hardest part for me was lifting the center piece up and off over the gear shift. I almost gave up, but I used the butter knife to help pop the top tabs, then I was able to lift the whole piece up over the gear shift. I used my cell phone to take a picture of the 5 digit code. Then went back to your video on how to do a new 5 digit code. It all worked perfectly thanks to both of your videos. I don't have the words, other than to say thanks a million for the help! Liked and subscribed! You Rock!

Just a heads up. If ur lights, the keyless entry lights,come on and stay on. Change the battery in ur key fob. It's the alert to tell u ur battery in ur fob is low. Its in the manual as well. Hope this helps someone. Ive had 2 fords. 2002 Explorer and 2013 Escape

Thanks for this video...also, thanks to Karein Reid for her comment as well. My first vehicle with all this electronic stuff. I like it but, wow do I see alot that may need repairing which requires electronic troubleshooting. Heck anymore all I can do is change oil, trans fluid and to the brakes. They now got me by the "whatever". Soon I hope to get electric car and avoid all the messy fluids. Then I will be totally out of luck trying to save money by working on my own car....why did I ever sell my 1956 Chevy??!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong. The factory code will ALWAYS work, even if 3 custom codes are programed and you do the erase all codes function.

Great video, but when I followed your instructions, the locks didn't cycle. This escape was bought second hand (from a body shop so we are assuming it was in an accident) and perhaps the door is not original to the vehicle. Is there any way to find out the code for a particular door?
