Also Hurricane! When I first moved to southern Utah that one confused me the most.

Also, Paragonah is confusing because it is pronounced like the original spelling, Paragoonah, which means Many Waters in the local native language. Parowan (evolved from Pah-ruan in the native language) means Evil Water because of the Native American legend where a man was swallowed by the waters of the Little Salt Lake which is located west of the town.

Another fun Levan trivia fact. Levan is where Brigham Young met with Chief Walkara at a peace conference to end "Walker's War". US indian relations diplomats were present and sketched a picture of Walkara

Hahaha, these are awesome! I lived in Salt Lake for 17 years and I remember many of these. But squoze as the past tense of squeeze will always be my favorite! 🤣

Adorable. Loved the video! Believe it or not....in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania you have to drive through Blue Ball to get to Intercourse, PA. Crazy fun fact of PA.
@ThomasMarchHomeSellingGroup4 жыл бұрын
I preferred the route: bird in hand to intercourse, PA...this still cracks me up

I live in Tooele and I love it when people massacre the pronunciation. One of my best friends lives in New Zealand and is Māori and she always has fun trying to pronounce it. But then she gets me back when I go crazy trying to learn the tongue-twisting Māori language. LOL

I was listening to an audiobook and the reader pronounced Tremonton wrong as TREM-on-ton instead of TREE-monton.
