Wandering jew is a perennial ornamental beautiful foliage decorative house plant. It's commonly known as an inchplant, tradescantia zebrina, wandering jew and formerly known as zebrina pendula. Because attractive zebra-patterned leaves, the upper surface of the leaves showing purple color and parallel silver-colored stripes and lower leaf surface of the leaves is deep uniform magenta color. This plant mainly native to Mexico, Central America and Colombia. It's commonly grow in hanging pot and ground cover also. It is a very fast growing plant. This plant mainly propagate through stem cutting. It is a very easy process and you can do it any time of the year, but best growing season is early autumn, spring and monsoon. Just cut any stem and plant into the normal soil or coco peat. don't require any kind of rooting powder.
Plant propagation steps:
First of all cut any stem from the main plant. Take a well drained pot and fill it with some coco peat. Take this cutting and plant into the coco peat and press it gently. Finally give some water and keep it partial shade place. After 2 weeks cutting look like this. Look at this root development. roots are very well developed. Now we transplant into the similar pot. Take this pot and fill it with some coco peat or normal garden soil and planted this wandering jew. Finally give some water.
Wandering jew is a very low maintenance plant, don't need any special care for this planet. The caring tips of wandering jew plant:
First tip is light : It prefer indirect sunlight for best growth.
Second tip is potting mix : plant your wandering jew in well drained potting mix.
Third tip is watering : this plant love moist soil, so keep this soil just moist not soggy.
Fourth and final tip is fertilizer : this plant don't require too much fertilizer. Give vermicompost or any organic compost once in a 3 months.

Someone had bought one of these plants at a grocery store and a bunch of pieces broke off and they left them in a shopping cart. When I found them I got a water bottle from the back seat of my car and I cut a hole in the top of the cap and placed the stem down into the water just to keep it good until I got home later that day. I then got home and did exactly what you just did by putting them into a small terracotta pot with the exact same soil you just used. And definitely one of the easiest propagations I've ever done.

She told me it was a wandering Jude now I hear it's called wandering Jew or today's modern term wondering dude.
