Im sure you see a lot of guys run the blue or green boiler insulation in places sometimes in front of the radiator! Mayb grab some for mud races usually we will run that for a lap or two then pull it off when pitting and all the mud well most of it stays on that! I also use a piece of that over my air box for an extra layer of protection! As for heat mayb look into a spal oversized fan i run those they work really well with almost double the cfm’s vs stock and one final thing which i do at least once or twice a season depends on conditions is drain the coolant and pull the radiator out and wash it Let it soak in hot soapy water then rinse also remove the fan before that you will be surprised how much dirt gets stuck and stays in the radiator causing it to run hotter! Great video man next time ill tell ya how we tested pam spray for mid races 🤣🤣🤣

Sorry if this is a dup, my comment has appeared. Yeah, this was the first time I have had any issues like this, I must have done a weird splash or something. I need to look into this more and come up with something just in a case, will be a good project. On my air filter I run a pre-filter and so far any mud or water that has gotten in just rolls off into the bottom of the box. Thanks for the tips!! These are things you can only get through experience.

That’s for all the info on here and facebook. All the best man 👍. Did you notice a big difference after adding the houser aarms and the elka suspension?
@Team2Gils4 жыл бұрын
Everything at this point is gradual. If mine was stock and I added the Elka's and houser a arms it would be a big difference, but I had my suspension pretty dialed in already. The Elkas do give me a better ride than I had and the a arms I am noticing better turning capabilities. AT today's race it was super tight and twisty and I was able to carve right through. This is an expensive setup and I went with it because I tore my old a arms and shocks right off the bike. Had I not done that, I am not sure if I would have spent the money. At my level of skills, I am not taking advantage of all the benefits. I do look at it from a safety factor though as well. Anything that keeps me out of trouble is worth spending money on.

Does SC1 protect from UV and have anti rust protection? Do you apply SC1 to the aluminum swingarm?
@Team2Gils2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about uv protection, but it is for plastics, not metal. For metals I use silicone pray. That will protect and prevent rust.

Do you have a video how to wash a quad properly?
@Team2Gils2 жыл бұрын
I do not have one on actual washing, have tis one and cleaning your chain afterwards. Main thing for washing is not to use any high pressure on the electrical, chain, or any of your bearing as water could force its way in there. I just use a hose myself with a brush and the cleaner of your choice. Be sure to dry it good afterwards, I use a leaf blower. Be sure to dry your chain off and immediately protect it with some Maxima chain wax. That will keep it from corroding.

Why dont you put a long swing arm? That will definitely improve your ride a lot
@Team2Gils4 жыл бұрын
I race through the woods (GNCC style), 50 inches is too wide. These are 1/2 inch wider on each side putting me at 48 inches which is about as wide as you want to go. Even this wide gets tricky some times.
@surajraikar99464 жыл бұрын
@@Team2Gils i am talking about the rear swing arm. which you can upgrade for 6 inches long. it will balance your type of ride, and your bike will slide like a butter on a hot pan. while cornering. and as its you have the precision stabilizer, that will match it too.

@@surajraikar9946 Thanks, yeah I read it wrong. Have to give that some thought. Thanks for the tip!

suraj raikar a longer swing arm would be really bad for xc racing as it will lengthen the wheel base and effect steering making it harder to steer in tight sections a longer swing arm would be more suited for dunes and drag racing!

I use wd40 bro where the end car
@Team2Gils4 жыл бұрын
Wd 40 works but attracts more dirt i think. Definitely will help prevent rust though.
