Great idea i would've never have thought about that

I accidentally dented a small speaker aluminum cone while installing it. I thought about hot glue to pull it, but was apprehensive of trying it because I wanted to make sure I was not going to break the speaker. I tried other things, like duct tape, but didn’t work. Came across your video and this is exactly what I needed to see. I didn’t think about the Q-Tip though, that’s a great tip. So, grabbed a few Q-Tips and my hot glue gun and followed your instructions. It worked like a charm. You can still see some evidence if you look really hard, but the dent is gone. Thank you! This is awesome...anybody try a hairdryer to heat the aluminum...I've heard heat used for car dents that pop put 😳

Can use strong scotch tape, at the final step to pull out the very small dents. I have used it at JBL midranges alu dustcaps.

You could just use a vacuum cleaner get really close to speak careful. Works pretty much every time

he should have supported the cone while pulling, he took the risk of ripping the surround right out.

What's a common glue that will work for installing aluminum dust cap to the cone? I have rubber cement, liquid electrical tape, hot glue gun, CA, and JB Weld epoxy here.
