In this video I will go through the ins and outs of pulling hose the right way with the Pumps N' Hoses DLC for Farming Simulator 22. This is not a look at every single item for this DLC but the actual use and how to not disconnect every few pulls. This will work for both console and PC.
I just want to say that the guys at Creative Mesh have done an awesome job with capturing what it is like to pull hose around a field. Nothing beats spreading slurry quickly and efficently.
Keep in mind that a sharp turning tractor is key for this, so maybe not the base game John Deeres, but the Modded John Deere, the base Game JCB works a treat along with the Massey and CASE.
You cannot string together pumps, or use them as boosters. Shooting air and water is fine too.

So glad I found this video. Did the American way on UMRV and boy that saved me from such a headache. Also idk why I never thought to color code the hoses like that, great idea

I always had that problem of my hose disconnecting from the pump and it made me go back to the old way of how I would fertilize my fields. Then the PlanEt extension came out and it sparked my interest again then I stumbled across your video and of course I tested out the method on a very massive field and yup on the side of the field I still had over 300 meters of hose and I run just under 1400 hundred meters and covered one of the biggest fields on console. Thank you for the tips on this. I still struggle with the hose setup but and figuring how much hose I’m going to need but thank you for making this video because I play very semi realistic and I like doing things as realistic as possible in my gameplay.

Did they every managed to adjust the issues you pointed out about slack behaviour? Would be cool to see you talk again a bit more about slurry/digestate application. You definetely know your stuff and lots of people like me would love to learn a bit more. Would help to better simulate procedures in our virtual farm! Other topics like nitrogen explained and such would be epic to hear about! (probably could use Precision Farming mod during your explanations, also commenting what it gets right and what it gets wrong).

Thankyou for this. I was having issues and you cleared it all up for me. The way hoses work in the game makes them super annoying. It should be more efficient than using a slurry tank spreader vehicle due to refilling. But, it's way way worse and not fun. I'm going back to my slurry tanker.

Hi Alex. Is it ok if I use the CLAAS XERION with my hoses? It has all wheel steering like the JCB.

So instead of the bowtie why didnt you just clean up the left side edge an ride down that side to the far corner then go straight back to diagonals? That seems the better way lol but idk ive never done this

Yes you can if you have shorter lengths of hose. So say your pumping 2km or 2000m have your hoses in 500m lengths you can in theory if you wanted to put a pump in every 500m.

This looks like a bunch of stuff I will buy, fail at hooking up correctly, and wind up using F12 delete option or just yeet this crap all over the farm.
