I also don't have an idle air temperature sensor I finally figured out, so my swap was just done really poorly lol thank you for the video, you saved a lot of confusion to somebody new to Hondas

Wow man the memories, I remember the Y8 manifold swap being the go to 18 yrs. ago when I did it on the z6 in my 95cx (which I still own btw). The good ole days when homemade turbo was my homepage on my computer. You earned a sub for hitting that nostalgia factor in me.

It wasnt done and, impossibly, I'm still trying to figure out what the pipes are on the head and on the manifold close to the head

Thank you for making this video. I have a Project 2000 Honda Civic DX AUTOMATIC (Yeah it was my Sister's car Before) Slowly want to convert it to Manual. But right now I want to replace the D16Y7 to Y8. I've Purchased a Y8 from FB market place. The Seller took it out from his 2000 Honda Civic EX .. He said it's Plug And Play since they're Both Automatic. But Do I have to Plug those Holes First in order for it to make it work? Cause that small little think you covered and zip tied in the end is something that you will use for an Automatic, but Only for EX AUTOMATIC Model not DX Automatic. I don't know if I'm making any sense here. I just need to know if I still have to Plug in the holes before I start doing this Mani Swap. So I got the 96 to 98 intake manifold and I realized where the throttle body goes on the cut out on the manifold is a bit different from the one you have in this video. Am I still able to use the gasket you recommend and my y7 throttle body
