I have no idea if you have answered this but what size reed do you recommend for starting on bass?? I play Bb size three reed. I’ve seen how big and thicker the reeds can be on bass. I may play bass for my schools winter winds group, sorry now I’m just rambling. But I was really wondering what size reed you would recommend!

I usually go down a half or whole strength from my Bb for my bass reed. I play 4s on Bb and 3s on bass, for example.

@@TheClarinetProject thanks I’ve been playing for month now and it’s really fun to switch in between both I use 3 for Bb and 2 1/2 for my bass but I am thinking of going up in strength for at least my clarinet
