The Freebird 3D Assembly Square has been designed for easy assembly to you can start using it within a few minutes of receiving the delivery.
The parts will push together tight and square, with screws included for a permanent join. It is not necessary to glue the parts.
In this video we show the assembly process step by step (for the jig itself).

just received this through the post this morning. I'm really impressed at how well this is designed, obviously you've given it a lot of thought. I noticed that the bits can only go together in one way, and that the corners of the joints have little reliefs in the corners I guess to prevent the tenon corners wearing? It all fits together very tightly. Nice handle parts too. look forward to using it!

Thanks for taking the time to feed back here I appreciate that! Yes after the initial CNC test piece I kept making little refinements to help it go together better! The mortice holes need to have little 'dogbone' curved corners to account for the radius of the cutter, to allow a rectangular tenon to fit in

I’m guessing this is as applicable to making cabinets as it is bookcases…?

definitely. Customers are using it for wardrobes successfully. But we do have an 'XL' version in the pipeline - bigger and with an added slot to allow placement of one clamp further down, for shelves which are set back to avoid clashing with hinges
